Would be an up grade to the squad, direct, knows where the net is and above all showed that he had the right attitude at Newcastle by working hard and scrapping in a relegation struggle. A 100% upgrade on the two wide men we have, he's more direct with a far better end product, but it will take some work too get it over the line that's if he wants to come.

I think that if we are serious about wanting Townsend we will either have to give him some sort of guarantee of starting or else make a statement by selling Bolasie as he's already wasted enough of his short footballing life by not playing

Shocking news. Townsend apparently staying put, Caulker doesn't like us and the Wolves star prefers West Spam.

We have the worst infrastructure of just about any team in the PL and a good proportion of the Championship. We're neither a fashionable nor a 'big' club and are famously parsimonious when it comes to our transfer dealings. Pardew divides opinion and is known for being inconsistent. When you're not looking at us through red and blue tinted specs, we're not a particularly attractive prospect. And before anyone mentions Cabaye, he'd fallen out of favour at PSG and wanted regular games to get called up for the Euros, plus he knew AP; in other circumstances, he'd never have looked twice at us.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Given our form this year we will be seen as a risky move. The only way of overcoming that is to pay a premium. We will not get any bargains among established players.
