Box is getting pretty ropey now and the build I've installed doesn't have the usual options for films and music from my network.

Start from scratch, there is a new build out.

Try considering [Link] for the prem. Filmontv is a good app for most channels Zattoo is worth looking at too especially if you use a Swiss dns as it has French, Italian, German, Austrian TV etc so you can watch European fixtures in a language you don't understand.

Just bought an Amazon Firestick and installed Kodi. With the assistance of the many YouTube videos on the subject, installation was actually piss-easy. I'm actually quite shocked at the amount of content out there. A revelation.

Best add ons are Exodus and Phoenix for film and TV MP3 stream for music, after a little fiddling you can download all the latest albums and from their huge back catalog too. Dont forget that you can also include iplayer, C4, ITV player etc in Kodi so you never really need to leave the program.

He'll need to set up a trakt.tv account though for his tv shows and films to be saved as favourites....which again can be found via youtube

Hi Guys, The problem with free services is that they get overloaded and usually require upgrading every month just to keep the streams working. Also there is no consistency in they way the streams are encoded and decoded meaning your android box/laptop will end up with numerous different programs that are required behind the scenes that to watch a stream. There is a better way although not perfect. You can sign up for a expat tv service that also has sports channels that cover every premier league game. I use this service and it works very well, is it perfect no. Is it the best I have ever used yes. They do a free trial, so you can test the system out before you buy. Also there is no large up front payment. Just a monthly sub. Just my 2p worth,
