It’s already come and got millions of people in this country because of the EU’s travel towards this united Europe project millions do not want. Europe is still your oyster now and in the future. Where we could have been? Please tell us where we were going that was so promising. That’s made me laugh. The experts and analysts cannot even give an honest answer to net £ benefit of immigration. They cannot calculate our success away from the EU from opening up new markets whilst also trading in a reduced European market. Anyone honest would agree. 20bn benefit, already won that debate

Only EU immigration produces a small benefit to the tune of a few billion a year.....and that's because what they can claim is tightly controlled.

How can you be so negative and support Palace?

Presumably you didn't specifically ask for authority to release that information. If it were special category data and it was possible to piece together what you have said with other available information to identify the individual you may have a problem In fact it isn't special category data or sensitive personal data. I still don't think I would use such inside information if I were a Mod mind you.

This is well said As with so many of us, Pussay appears to have taken advantage of freedom of movement in order to make a living. I have done that all my life and make no apologies. Like many, I have come and gone and lived where the best work is. Brits are good at that, better than most. Especially South Londoners. The apologies I make are to my children who will not have that easy right. It will go back to the days of auf wiedersehen pet. I can still remember the visa and travel permit processes, people forget. And it's no big deal getting work permits visas etc...for non eu countries bit of extra paperwork but no real hassle. I'm sure it will be easy enough to get shengen visas as a lot of my thai friends get them easy enough

You realise you can be born in, and still have affiliation with, your native country without necessarily living there at the time? Maybe he's just there for a short period for work or something. And anyway, if he's a UK national currently living and working in the EU then he's more affected by Brexit than most. There's plenty of posters on here who don't live in the UK but still have their say on UK matters. Jiminez for example has lived in NYC for years but is still vocal about UK matters but no one cares. Not an issue. Like I stated ...It's his attitude towards this country. I'm actually glad he's abroad and hopefully he will remain. Originally posted by DanH
It's the latent bullying/'criticism and ridicule' which has stopped a lot of lefter leaning posters posting and has turned this forum into this weird right wing echo chamber full of disaffected older men in the suburbs. What's this snowflake? This is utter nonsense.....This forum was practically ran by Gusset with multiple threads every day on far left talking points.....We had Jamie who was regualrly excellent and a lefty mod.....the right posted on those threads and everybody was ok with the back and forth. It's only when now that the threads are predominantly right wing that we suddenly find people like you complaining.....what a joke. Any left winger is welcome here in the name of free speech but that is also true for right wingers.....No one gets to control the narrative....sorry and all that. There is no 'bullying', that's a ridiculous abuse of the word....also coming from someone who frequently trolls more than a little hypocritical. There is robust debate and if you're such a snowflake that you consider that 'bullying' then I recommend you find a safe space somewhere and have a cry. I will continue to contest ideas I find flaws in and welcome those that wish to debate that with me. We have moderators on this forum to handle any serious breaches....not petty ones and you have more censorious forums like the bbs which provide far left progressive politics on tap if that's what you want. You seem to frequently slag this site off for allowing views you don't like yet you remain....to which you are welcome....However when you have other options it does make one think. This is what PP highlighted in red and replied to, 'The experts and analysts cannot even give an honest answer to net £ benefit of immigration' PP then replies with, '20bn benefit, already won that debate'......Note he doesn't relate that fact that this is only a selected slice of immigration. Hence it's a lie, because all those facts were made to him in the debate he refers to......He never once made a suggestion that non EU immigration should be stopped so he's a fan of immigration in general....So referring to cost benefits of one slice of it is completely disingenuous. So here we are again Steely....you proving yourself either disingenuous yourself or just a bit of a simple lad.

Ultimately, in the battle of life, you do need water to live. So it is with relief to have Gove's announcement that we will still have drinking water with a 'no-deal' brexit. Mind you he doesn't listen to 'experts'. So get digging a well in your garden this weekend and start hoarding bottled water. Food and medecines were not mentioned but brexit does not mean you will have a luxurious future, unless you live near Maidenhead. Oink Oink !!

Medicine keeps coming up but I am genuinely confused when the media state that we will run out in weeks. Why? Assuming we leave without a deal that means we control our borders. So if a lorry load of drugs for the NHS turns up at the border why we would we not let it through? In the longer term if we no longer belong to the European Drugs agency that may impact our exports and delay the licensing and importation of new drugs in the UK. However I don't get why there would be a short term issue unless customs create it. I would assume that the government will give them instructions on what can and can't come into the country.
