With all due respect, that is not proof. Those are soundbites along the lines of 'getting brexit done'. He has appointed justices to the supreme court. Tell me a president who doesnt. Average median income has been rising at about 2% per year since 2011ish. I havent gone too deep into going before, but imagine it was low arounf 2008. He brought some manufacturing jobs back and done something on Nafta and put through tax cuts, which pretty much every republican president does. He has done F all with the china trade deal apart from help his wall street buddies get even richer by tweeting if a deal is likely to be made or not sending the dow up or down. He has done an amazing trade deal with the Saudis though. I hear his new hotel there is going to be amazing. Draining the swamp? I may be wrong here, but is Steve Mnuchin, a former Goldman Sachs banker his head of treasury? Now we may disagree but i would put anyone from GS as being pretty swampy. Black and Latino support? I cant see that happening. Theres only so much Kanye can do. Amazingly enough, there has been no news on the wall. Look we can support whoever we want, but when its blindly done then as a society we have been hoodwinked beyond saving.

She's has that strident feminist style, which doesn't come across well to the normie. Thatcher learnt how to combine a strident and firm nature while still retaining a certain femininity. The activists won't like hearing that of course but that's the reality. Edited by Stirlingsays (27 Nov 2019 2.19pm)
With Jo Swinson, you have the impression that she would sit you on the naughty step and lecture you for half an hour about being nice and playing fair.

I think you nailed the distinction. It certainly explains why Thatcher was so popular with and able to handle all the men in the Conservative party.

Reminder about Voting. Some idiot shared a picture of their postal voting slip on social media tonight. Folks it is illegal to photograph your ballot paper so please do not do it whether it's a postal vote or you are in the polling station. No photography otherwise Inspector Knacker of the Yard maybe feeling your collar. And on the subject of voting the old "why do they use pencils" urban myth will no doubt come up again. It's not so the staff can erase your vote and change it that is rubbish. You can bring and use your own writing instrument if you want although technically it is illegal, staff have been told to let it go. If you use a pen and the ink is not dry when you fold the paper it is possible that the ink transfers so the paper has 2 crosses. In other words this is for your benefit not some sinister conspiracy. If either of these 2 points come up in your company please clarify them I have been surprised the number of people who didn't know this. Thanks

For what it's worth YouGov has just released its detailed model of what it thinks the 2019 election result will be. They called in right in 2017.

I can't see her losing any vote share though.....Just not making a significant break through....which I suppose is what they were hoping for with being staunch remain and revoking.

I don't think they'll lose any ground either. In a way they carved out their position of being the mainstream remain option, at the cost of actually having a chance to get a sniff of power. It was always going to come down to which position our of remain and leave fragmented the least, and the Tories have played a blinder there with a little help from Nige. Corbyn perhaps should've gone 2nd ref, but pledged to campaign for remain (to get the lib dems on board, either the party or the voters). Instead their position always seemed rather labyrinthian and ephemeral. It's hard to vote for a non position. He's a life long activist though anyway, and so on one level maybe he likes the rallying cry more than the responsibility of actually being in power.

I'm just happy it's all going to be over in time for the mince pies.

Talk in the papers today that Boris is avoiding Andrew Neil, I can't say that I blame him I bet Corbyn wished he had. Still for the sake fairness in this election Boris Minor should step up and take his six of the best from the Headmaster.
