Apparently the Charity Commission and the GLA are now investigating how Sistah Space spends its money. Unfounded accusations by racist and sexist people no doubt. Is the money being used for literacy programmes? I hope so.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Rwanda plan ‘legal’ according to the high court. Can’t help but still feel as though this is an awful papering over a huge crack that has been allowed to widen and deepen over time. I would predict this will have little impact and the cost, both financial and human, is going to be awful. Far be it for me to suggest we secure borders and deal with illegal immigration at its core than ship a few dozen people off to a tiny county in the middle of Africa most famous for a genocide though.

It's a start. And don't forget that Arsenal clearly display one of their sponsors logos on their shirts: 'Visit Rwanda', so it can't be that bad a place. I read that Denmark has the same sort of agreement with Rwanda. Let's see what happens, but I am sceptical too that this won't be enough.
hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |

It’s more about showing what can happen and I guess once a few get sent the word gets around. Everyone has access to the internet or groups at least. In reality the migrants might think twice about making that crossing not knowing if it will be a flight to Africa, a hotel in Folkestone or a full amnesty eventually. None of these immigrants are ignorant to current news.

A friend of mine owns property in Lanzarote and they get a large number of illegal immigrants arriving from Africa and apparently when they jump off the boat the first thing they ask for is the wifi password for their iphones

Simply by setting foot we are running the meter of cost to the taxpayer. The figure of how much the hotels are costing is well known, what I can't find but would like to know is how much we are paying in legal aid for the tortuos and lengthy process and appeals. The lawyers doing this don't care about the human angle, it's a non stop supply of revenue. I remain of the view this will go on for years whichever party is in government, we simply don't have the resources to accept so many people each year. The Albanians taking the pi55 is simply annoying when you see our own citizens going without food, heat , medical treatment etc Oh, and Clive Lewis is a total k()nt

Still not sure if Hotel Rwanda is a good idea but something has to be done. The asylum process is a joke yet other members of the ECHR seem to have better processes so I don't believe it when politicians claim they can't do anything. The stats on Albanian migrants is interesting, across Europe the vast majority are denied asylum very quickly yet we don't seem able to do that. Somebody with a brain needs to sit down and rewrite our immigration and asylum laws I have no faith that this will happen.

They basically drive them to border and tell them not to return or give them “passage” for 7 days when they must leave. Italy was one that did thus, knowing full well that the migrants intended destination was elsewhere.

I bet Ireland wishes it were as left wing as it is now longer ago. All those hard working people fleeing terrible circumstances who just want to work hard for a living, do an honest days work and integrate seamlessly into society.
