The UK is going to become poorer as a result of Brexit, the Chancellor admits it. That is a remarkable admission and probably only the tip of the iceberg, the question really is how much hardship would you prefer dear voter? Brexit means Brexit, handing control to the EU,the very opposite of what you voted for, but as long as you keep doing that us gammon will continue to enjoy. Oink Oink !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The gammon in retreat, where are Davies, Johnson Farage and all the other porkers now. Who would ever have thought that the Daily Mail, the P is lucky to be going 'Dutch'. The only real hope of a good future for the UK is for these people to die out more quickly. Clear them out, bring on the young.

You realise you can be born in, and still have affiliation with, your native country without necessarily living there at the time? Maybe he's just there for a short period for work or something. And anyway, if he's a UK national currently living and working in the EU then he's more affected by Brexit than most. There's plenty of posters on here who don't live in the UK but still have their say on UK matters. Jiminez for example has lived in NYC for years but is still vocal about UK matters but no one cares. It's the latent bullying/'criticism and ridicule' which has stopped a lot of lefter leaning posters posting and has turned this forum into this weird right wing echo chamber full of disaffected older men in the suburbs.

It’s not luck Pussay is living in Holland. I’m guessing nobody did it all for him, changing his work and everything. See, another warped way of looking at someone’s life from the eyes of the loony left. You could join him if you wanted, it doesn’t take Gordon Brown’s profligacy to sort everyone out because they can’t or more to the point, won’t.

I and many knew that when we voted. We’ll either be poorer for quite a few years and recover or we’ll be a bit poorer forever but be better off in other ways than just financial that can be argued over in PM’s questions. Please don’t tell me we’ll be much much poorer forever. That’s bollox. This isn’t a developing country ffs, even if your ideology turns it into one with mass immigration, imported violent crime in broad daylight, overcrowding and wage suppression.

This is well said As with so many of us, Pussay appears to have taken advantage of freedom of movement in order to make a living. I have done that all my life and make no apologies. Like many, I have come and gone and lived where the best work is. Brits are good at that, better than most. Especially South Londoners. The apologies I make are to my children who will not have that easy right. It will go back to the days of auf wiedersehen pet. I can still remember the visa and travel permit processes, people forget.

Kermit in Devon or Cornwall has left. Actually so has Gusset in the SE London suburbs. DanH, you’re in comfy Chelmsford aren’t you? Nicely away from the negatives of immigration. Immigration is fine on a personal level if you’re advantaded, but if you’re not, it’s another barrier or struggle. I wish it wasn’t but it is. Maybe if pre 2004 it was planned better there’d be a more positive experience, but again, it’s about the short term figures.

It's clear we shall lose ground for many years and that lost ground will almost certainly never be recovered. We may get back to how we were in half a generation, but not where we could have been. This is in order to chase a fallacious dream. We are in a global world, the economics will control us if the politics don't. Take a look at the discussion on Socialism in One Country, I am sure you have read your Preobrazhensky. The world comes and gets you in the end.
