Anyone reading this section of the Hol can see what a particularly nasty section of British public opinion, reside here, with a few noble exceptions. Out in the real world those opinions form a tiny minority, whilst here they dominate. Desiring the ability to block out those who counter their rhetoric with logic and common sense is only to be expected. When people run out of answers that's the only answer they have left. What a deluded old man you are. You are unethical as the 'rape gang' discussion revealed and your arguments are regularly holed and picked apart on here with these latest points regarding judges shows but you aren't the kind of person to care....instead you type risible nonsense in discredited attempts to patch up the gaping holes in your arguments.

Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Jul 2019 1.40am) That is as blatant a misrepresentation of my views as it's possible to make. There is nothing "unethical" about seeking to separate attacks on those trying to investigate and prosecute criminals from the criminal activity itself. My arguments aren't holed either. They are frequently misunderstood or misrepresented, but that's different. My opinions on Judges and the way our justice system works is partly as a consequence of personal experience and not from the kind of political bias often to be seen in the counter arguments. I have no idea how old you are. What I do know is that age often brings with it a perspective that some regard as wisdom. That others, less wise themselves perhaps, see that as delusion, is rather revealing of their own character.

Similar criticisms were made of the authorities from official sources to what I and others have stated in this thread. You are unethical and that discussion showed it..... if you like we can go over each of your early statements on this.....you know, before you started to alter from defending the authorities to the mealy mouthed representations you now make. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Jul 2019 2.34am) I have read no defence of "Robinson"or his activities from any "official sources". What I have read are the identification of failures by some agencies, often with the mitigating circumstances of a lack or resources, or appropriate training, being revealed. Learning from mistakes, and advising where resources need to be improved, are vindications of the way we do things and not a condemnation of it. Slinging mud is not. I repeat, there is nothing unethical in seeking to set the record straight. There is everything unethical in defending criminals. I don't defend criminals, whether they are part of "grooming gangs", or anything else. Whilst the criminal activity is on another scale, you do.

That's the only amusing sentence I can remember you writing since you turned up. As people with a warped sense of reality tend to have a warped sense of humour, at least this comment makes some sense.

I don't think anyone now believes that mistakes weren't made initially and that some of the relevant authorities had failings. Hindsight is always a wonderful thing. That doesn't mean you attack those authorities when they learn and get to grips, as they have. Amateur attention seeking "reporters" putting their muddy feet all over crime scenes don't help anyone.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'BBC fake news - Tommy Robinson' by Midlands Eagle To whom it may concern. HOL is a forum for football fans and by it's very nature is likely to be a vehicle for robust discussion. It is not Mumsnet and those areas like politics are likely to attract some fairly aggressive posts. There is a saying about people unable to take the heat should stay out of the kitchen and that applies to this section of HOL and if people don't like the robustness of this area then please don't post in it. Every time someone reports a post a notification goes to all of the moderators who then should all read what it's about and possibly discuss it amongst themselves which is a huge waste of our time. As a matter of interests in the last six weeks there have been nine reported posts of which five have been reported by the same person who seems to be unhappy with responses to his own posts. You may all recall a high profile poster had his posting privileges removed some time ago, not for his political views (as his mates claimed) but because he was a nuisance with his constant whining and reporting of posts wasting everyone's time. I wouldn't like to see that happen again so please either accept that some responses will be a bit "sharp" or else confine yourself to other areas of HOL

But that’s the whole point. It was a deliberate policy not to investigate these cases rather than some oversight. They got “to grips” with it when they had no choice because of the publicity generated by Robinson. Your earlier posts indicated that professional reporters decided en masse not to cover the stories.

Is it the one where you imply you don’t approve of everything about yer man? Fair enough, I must have missed the condemnatory posts.

I don't believe I have got "personal" at all. I have condemned his actions and not his personal life or beliefs. The reason why he matters is not because of him or what he says, let alone that it's the truth! It's the rabble rousing impact on the impressionable that is the concern. That impact is on open view right here.

Deliberate policy? Let's see some evidence of that! We have no real idea what was going on under the radar to deal with this. With the benefit of hindsight it seems mistakes were made but that doesn't mean we can question the integrity of those involved without evidence. My earlier posts suggested we did not know whether the media had responded to requests not to publicise. Now we know that, at least for some time, there were reporting restrictions in place.
