This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Really like the new design, especially the 'recreation' of the original Crystal Palace (at last!), something that was so obviously lacking in the designs put forward a few years ago had we relocated. Thumbs up.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave I've just made a video where I discuss the Selhurst Park Redevelopment. I talk about the new main stand's features, display pictures from different areas of the ground and interview quotes from Steve Parish, Nick Marshall and Roy Hodgson. Would appreciate if you had a look.

34,000 is perfect for an average of around 30,000. Remember our biggest average ever was 29,800 (back in the 70's) and with a ground that held 52,000. I'm hoping it means they'll bring back 'kids for a quid' can't really see how they'll sell the unless we allow 10K away fans, which won't help the team.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave And by the way Chelsea are building a new 62000 stadium for £ 600 m. We really need to carefully think about this.

And by the way Chelsea are building a new 62000 stadium for £ 600 m. We really need to carefully think about this. I'm sure multi millionaire business men & sports team owners Parish, Harris & Blitzer have thought this through.

At the moment we have a Season ticket waiting list, also tickets for members only, lift the ticket restrictions allowing purchase by the general public for the Arthur, also an increase in away allocation and we would quite easily get 30k in the prem. I'd also like to think the board would have plans to maybe move the family part from the main stand to the Arthur and increase this significantly and give even more tickets to local schools, youth clubs and sports clubs. There's probably thousands of local youngsters who would love to watch palace but come from underprivileged backgrounds who's parentents have to prioritise other things to spend money on. At the moment the demand is there, very rarely have tickets left over that ain't restrictive view, having a bigger capacity will hopefully allow us to get even more local kids in that will see our club continue to grow and maybe reach the potential we all constantly keep hearing about.

Maybe that's Parish's aim because there's certainly been no price agreed and it looks as though we need land to do this that they own. How do you know a price hasn't been agreed?

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Let's be real here. The Main Stand is approaching 100 years of service, it still has wood in it and needs to be replaced. I'm glad there is finally a concrete proposal on the table. I'm sure there will be give and take of the next several months and there will be opposition to anything being done by various groups. We need to show a united front and support the club because I'm sure the carpers and the NIMBYs will come out in force against it.
