I've worked abroad myself and am actually pro immigration. Irrespective of EU migrants having a negligible benefit to the public purse, the UK government should decide its immigration policy – not a foreign parliament. And if there is a net financial gain, if the money is not put in to extra schools, hospitals and houses, then that makes us WORSE off. PLUS, EU migrants have caused wage deflation to low-skilled workers. Edited by Penge Eagle (20 Nov 2018 1.00pm) In effect, that is what EU would become next March, a foreign parliament controlling the UK without the UK having any say. That is what is actually happening by leaving, handing over control to the EU.

'Full Fact' are left wing idealogs. The reality that the collective impact of immigration into the Uk was significantly more expensive than any small EU effect must have really irritated them. You can get a sense of that in how they reported it. Hence their disclaimer which has no significant argument against the findings they reported on.

For who though? We have had more immigration over the last 10 years than the last 200 years and we are borrowing more than ever. We the people are not seeing the Benefit. Austerity in all government departments apart from politicians who got a pay rise ,austerity in all our services. A huge rise in house prices , wages not rising (until now imigration has gone down) So I don't care what they contribute, I see none of it. And before you bring up the NHS we wouldn't have needed more nurses if we hadn't risen the population so quick. I and alot of people don't put monetary values on everything in life!! I don't want to build on green belt for more immigration, where are the green party on that argument?
