Lord Frost has been told the Northern Irish public do not back him in negotiations with the EU as he seeks to tear up the Brexit agreement. In an interview on BBC Radio Ulster it was put to the Brexit minister that "poll after poll" showed the public backed keeping the protocol as it was. In fact, why is this taking place, at all? Big increases in NI and Ireland trade, the safety of the GF agreement, single market membership, NI is a solitary winner of brexit.

Shell is not so much about brexit to me, but an example of how hedge fund managers can manipulate international businesses, even countries, for an advantage, in this case tax. And these are the people with the power over climate, not citizens. The COP really demonstrated their power, governments and their countries had only worthy speeches.

Lidl have paid over £10 an hour for years Badger, I have commented on it before on here, nothing to do with brexit. But fair play to a European company, thats why workers rights under EU law were needed over here back in the day. It's amazing, isn't it? Anything that happens which is a positive must be Brexit, but any negatives, even when demonstrably linked to Brexit, are nothing to do with Brexit. When the bar is 'Christmas will be fine', you know it's gone to sh*te.

Funny that it never occurs to them that it maybe that just occasionally it might be down to the EU playing politics, no its always the UK at fault, never the EU. For Croydon Proud. Here's the news story from the BBC about Lidl apparently they haven't been paying £10 per hour, assuming that you can trust the BBC. Edited by Badger11 (17 Nov 2021 5.14pm)

No-one "celebrates" bad news! It's always a matter of sadness. The point being made is that just about everything that was predicted, and dismissed as "Project Fear" is happening, and almost nothing that was predicted by the Brexiteers is. No-one suggests that many of the problems would have arisen, whether we stayed in or came out. The pandemic has caused many of them, but things like a shortage of lorry drivers would still have happened. As would the shortage of materials. That's not the point. Brexit has made things worse, not better, just when we had another setback to cope with. Why are there so many vacancies, forcing wages higher as employers outbid each other and causing inflation? Many EU workers returned to their home countries during the lockdowns and now either cannot come back, or don't want to. This causes skill shortages. Ideological controls restrict the relaxing of the rules. It's a disaster which ought never have happened, causing inflation which makes us all poorer.

Essentially the claim made by leave at the 2016 referendum that the UK would leave while staying in the single market was false. There never was any such plan. Now we are seeing the reality of their gross deception. And the dimness of the brexiteer generation.
