I hope the release clause is north of £120m! No release clause, according to the Guardian's report.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle That is fantastic news. I have to say that I was starting to think that this season might have been Wilf's last one with Palace, and manage my expectations accordingly. After a solid pre-season, a good transfer window and a winning start to the season, this news is the icing on the cake. Well done and thank you Wilf, and well played Steve Parish.

Great news. But did he really have to screw us for an extra 10k a week. Do you think another year on his contract doesn't add half a mill of value to him? He was offered it by the club and the chairman, he hasn't "screwed us" now nor at any point in his career.

Great news. But did he really have to screw us for an extra 10k a week. Well he hasn't screwed us in the slightest, only thing that can be said is if he did turn a contract down (which is fully within his right to) then all it did was make media sources go into a frenzy of "he's leaving!" which didn't happen. Also who says it was over 10kp/w, Contracts can have more to do with them than just wages.

Great news. But did he really have to screw us for an extra 10k a week. It’s the business. Zaha is one of the greatest servants this club has ever had given his natural talent. He could be playing at a top side and in the Champions League. I hope we have found the next Le Tis. Edited by Maine Eagle (15 Aug 2018 2.38pm)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Wilf has been a true servant to the club. Never once has he held us to ransom, all he is getting is his just rights. He is a truly class act and I would like to thank him for his loyalty. Cheers Wilf!!
