And BTW, who wants to pay 120k a week to someone who is on holiday and can't even be with the preseason camp? Nahhhh....f^ck-it...let him stay at Liverpool and let him train with them for 120k a week until the season starts. Then let him enjoy the Liverpool bench and see if we can't pick him up for 25million either in August or January. And don't forget, every 4 weeks of 120k is just 20k shy of 1 million. Nahhh...pity...but we want to keep our financial strength. Someone like a Defoe or a Charlie Austin or both! And we'll still be pushing for Europe...so...F-OFF Liverpool.

The Daily Mail this morning carries an interesting article on the Benteke transfer. report indicates that Palace and wet spam are just not willing to met the asking price that Liverpool are demanding.

He will sign for someone. I suppose the agent advising that he will stay is because Liverpool are potentially pricing Benteke out of a deal.

It's in the daily mail that Liverpool are holding out for all of the 32.5 they spent .. There negotiating hard ball, it's nice that in. The article it claims one of the reasons Benteke wants to go to palace is due to the quality of transfers we have bought in so far.

The CPFC Board does seem to be prioritising getting at least one more striker in. So it maybe that a deal suddenly emerges for Benteke or if not Palace will probably have 3 or 4 other options it will turn to in due course. The situation is a bit alarming, in that we only have 2 strikers on our books and one of them (Campbell) just doesnt have the quality and I doubt whether he will play again for Palace in the PL except as a last resort. Personally I think the best thing to do is to let both Benteke and Pool stew in their juices and move on to other targets as soon as possible. Possibly, if Pool see that Palace isnt playing with them any more, and no one else is interested, then they may finally agree to lower their exhorbitant prices
