"The drummer of the British band The Wurzels has died in hospital after contracting Covid-19, a statement said.

Somerset musician John Morgan died at the age of 80 on Friday in Gloucester Royal Hospital.

The band's manager said he was their "oldest drummer in captivity" and had been performing with them since 1981 up until two weeks ago."

A demonstration against mandatory vaccinations has been organised by "Take a Stand London", "Save our Rights" and "The Great Reopening", along with other protest groups from 12pm at Parliament Square in Westminster. THOUSANDS of protesters have blocked streets in London and set off smoke bombs this afternoon as fury erupts at Boris Johnson's Covid plans. The iconic location was said to be "rammed" with angry Britons on Saturday afternoon, with one witness saying on Twitter: "Parliament Square rammed with protestors!" The protest today saw people travel to the capital from across the UK and there are also rallies in Bournemouth, Blackburn, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Glasgow, Cardiff, Belfast and the Isle of Wight. Can only see one black, and no Asian, faces. Mostly middle-aged men. Which fits the expected profile for this kind of thing. I know it's outside but not a mask anywhere and not too much social distancing, both of which make sense at this time.
