As someone who has had several vaccinations in their lifetime I regard the blanket use of 'Anti-vaxxer' as inappropriate, as it implies that someone is against all vaccines....which is rarely the case. Risk assessments are always based on sound evidence, often scientifically determined. They involve evaluating everything that is known, against that which remains unknown, and determining where the balance of probabilities lie. If any kind of responsible risk assessment of the Covid vaccines was made, as many must have been, then it would certainly weigh heavily in favour of the benefits outweighing any risk. Your "personal judgement" is not a risk assessment. It is a fearful, emotional responses to new developments from someone whose instinct is to show a lack of trust. Conspiracy theorists then support and amplify this fear and lack of trust. It's very sad to witness. Edited by Wisbech Eagle (17 Dec 2021 5.04pm)

This guy isn't right in the head. Here we go again! When faced with an uncomfortable truth, you turn to the personal insult. Not only is this against the site rules, it is yet further evidence of a complete lack of substance to your position. I am forced to wonder if you actually understand what a "risk assessment" really is. I did many in my business career. Doing a personal one isn't so different. This is a genuine Covid Vaccination risk assessment, prepared for the NHS by the HSE. I realise its purpose, isn't your purpose, but nevertheless it contains some highly relevant information, which ought to help you change your mind:- Yours is just an excuse for inaction based on nothing more than a gut feeling. Booster at least 80% effective against severe Omicron - [Link] Pretty good news. Combined with how widespread vaccination is, as well as additional natural infections (which likely offer a degree of immunity also) and possible talk of it being on the mild side (jury is still out there I know), we're in as good a position as feasibly possible compared to other countries. With how transmissible it is (the inevitability aspect on this variant) the coverage does seem pretty unfair to businesses as it's basically done in their xmas trade. Anyway, whatever the case numbers here's to hoping that its on the best case scenario side hospitalisations-wise . Edited by BlueJay (17 Dec 2021 8.03pm)

You do your own risk assessment. If I had anything to do with it, I would have you arrested at the Tamar for aiding and abetting the criminal lack of common sense on a website. Mind you, as Jethro passed away this week, you could try your hand at being a comedian. On second thoughts, perhaps not.

No, but you should get a reward for bothering to read all of his post. I tend to go off of fruitcake after a while. No fruitcake in Cornwall. We eat "Hevva" here. I can tell you don't eat proper fruitcake in the way you trot out the same old repetitive nonsense on every subject under the sun. You must make your own. Just mix some selfishness flour with some acidic bile, bake it, and out pops your opinion. You should heed the advice given by many posters here, if you cannot bring yourself round to listening to me. Your approach serves no-one at all. Ultimately, not even yourself.
