It's all very well isn't it but it's a giant double standard if the US are going to criticise Israel while at the same time supplying them with the bombs, funding and ammo to do the indiscriminate bombing with.

As usual they want it both ways....they want their cake and eat it so to speak.

Compared to Dresden, where over four days an estimated 25, thousand people died I think the term indiscriminate bombing isn't quite true.

However, it is certainly true that the IDF don't care how many civilian casualties are inflicted to kill any Hamas and pretty much all the videos are appalling.

I am obviously extremely critical of the Islamic world and I'm also very critical of its allowed dominance of areas of my country due to its enmity with both secularism and other religions. Anyone who thinks Islam can be rendered toothless on mass is a fool.

However, this doesn't mean we should be complicit in supporting what has gone on in Israel, from whatever angle. These were not battlefields and both are fine with killing the other regardless.

I was disappointed but not surprised that my government didn't support a ceasefire.

I think Biden is offering more criticism of Israel than any President I can remember. He does though have to deal with a deeply embedded pro Israel caucus at many levels.

I also sense things are changing.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

There are atrocities committed by both sides. There continues to be killings of civilians, which should be given the greatest effort to stop.
