Being reported this morning that Feyenoord are offering a ew contract to Arne Slot to try to fend off the interest from Spurs.

If true it confirms clubs are interested in him. I have a fear that he will be the one that got away.

Little to do with our next manager, but is anybody watching the Luton v Sunderland play off game tonoght?
Edwards is a highly regarded manager at Luton, but the style is similar to the Wimbledon kick and rush team of yesteryear.
A team of giants playing the percentage game with lots of emphasis on set pieces.
Quite refreshing in a way as nobody plays that way anymore.
A side note of interest is the duel between Clarke and Dramen, two players who we are linked with.

I watched it. I was very impressed with Luton. As you say a team of monsters, extremely physical but can actually play a bit as well.. Very quick on the counter attack I've noticed.
Edwards has done a great job there.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Luton were 10th after 21 league games when Edwards took up the reins this season and they finished in 3rd place.

Loanees Cody Drameh and Marvelous Nakamba who played last night were 2 of his 4 signings.

Watched it in a pub with many Sunderland fans, pretty unhappy with the pen they didn’t get and some of the many physical Luton challenges. I think they’d get found out a bit by VAR. Good team though - well organised and threatening up-front. Made Sunderland look like the Championship team they still are. At the end I pointed out that CPFC are two weeks away from completing a ten year streak in the Prem. Then left swiftly.

Wasn't it you that said that the club had been sold and the new owners would be announced in the closed season?

Certainly not a penalty for me.The ball did hit the hand but it was hit with venom from a short distance away.

Overall, Sunderland could not cope with the physicality and energy of Luton and Jack Clarke and Amad Diallo were peripheral figures.

Middlesborough lost out last night, so there might be opportunities there, including Carrick himself or their striker?

The good news is there will be 1 low budget, inexperienced PL team going up next season

Carrick has had a few games as caretaker at Man Utd but he has only been a permanent manager since October and of course that has been in the Championship.

Hopefully the clickbait rumours come to pass and Roy and Ray stay on for another season? What do people think of Chuba Akpom?
