Players signed going straight into 1st XI Other signings Proven Forward signed (& Benteke replacement) Young players (Aderemola, Banks, Plange etc) being loaned out - Very useful to have when our own injuries kick in ! We give Rak-Sakyi a 5 year contract and then loan him out to the 'C' word of all clubs - why don't we make more use of our own young players and him in particular, especially when PV has a policy it seems of making signings for the 16/18 age groups ? I get why Nottingham Forest are throwing money around like water but are there not players there for whom we might have competed ? The news this morning of an apparent bid for CG is good (but does Wilf fit in somewhere ?) and maybe we will all be stunned by our business in the next 3 days or so but having followed this club since 1973 there is a nagging feeling of competing at the top table on the cheap. I think so too, although Don Rogers is now 76! No LB cover for Mitchell on Saturday cost us dear. Not really what you need to compete in the PL. Let us pray.

We should be in for and need a striker If Ayew ‘isn’t up to it’ then why does Viera pick him on a weekly basis and the same when Roy was in charge, both of who know a lot more about football than you and I? I agree with you re Edouard and IMO lacks the work rate necessary.

Absolutely, its crazy the prices they are asking, reject any offer for Wilf, and a loan or two, we will easily finish mid table, no point in wasting money, also we have some good youngsters on loan that should ready for the first team next season, what about a part refund on season ticket holders, that money would be better used than giving 20m to someone who we dont need Staggeringly we only raise about half that (£10m) from season tickets.

I think Ayew is a the type of player you don't appreciate until he is no longer on your team. He is a pest and does a lot of the BS work that never gets noticed unless you watch the entire match. Originally posted by MrRobbo

Nice idea dreamwaverider but honestly - we currently have the best squad we have ever had & we are arguably watching the best football we have ever seen at SP over just about any decent period of time so if we didn't get refunds in previous years where the football was absolutely dire at times we sure aren't going to get one now. lol Originally posted by dreamwaverider
