If you listen to the Radio 4 interview that I posted a link to, according to Nazir Afsal the former Crown Prosecutor for the NE, the answer to that is nothing (for a very long time) as these girls were deemed to have freely made their own choices on sexual behaviour - even the 11 & 12 year olds.

Or perhaps you may feel he is making it all up to cover up secret work.

That is shameful. As has been said before those girls and their families have been sacrificed for the most disgraceful reasons. Don’t those responsible have children themselves?

It is strange, however, that you have not looked properly into the nature of the beast

Read his history VERY CAREFULLY before you heap unreserved praise upon him. And consider at what point 'the establishment' started bearing down on him. To me, he is pretty lucky to have spent as little time as he has in prison. In the US he would have been in far longer.

There's a fundamental problem with your argument here, if we suddenly went off of Robinson because he wasn't 'white collar' enough....who else is out there representing our views in this area? Answer that.

As for suggesting reading Robinson's 'history'....written by whom.... No doubt you are reading from anti Robinson sources.

Other more charitable histories are available.

Firstly. I haven't heaped praise on anyone. More Maple fantasy.
You think that people are such simple creatures that can only be all 'good' or 'bad' or that others cannot be selective in what they choose to approve of or condemn about an individual?

Absolutism?

Presumably, you would condemn Nelson Mandela by applying the same standards?

He WAS a terrorist.

Yep, convicted in a court of law and in that court he admitted to ordering attacks.....Which resulted in deaths.

Celebrated in the western world.

Now look at what is happening in South Africa.....Whitie is on a timer.

Rubbish. The USA has the First Amendment which he would be protected by.

A good friend of mine is a white south African.
He says if you apply for a job and you are black you get it in front of whites.
All management is now positively given to blacks.
Whether they can do the job or not.
Believe me I am not s***ting you and he was there a month ago before I get told I'm stirring.
Dont tell me it happens here or in the USA the other way round as if you do you are really pushing the dems or labour agenda.
That my friends is racism in its purest form but some think it cant go that way around ironically.

Who on Earth mentioned the colour of his collar, or even considered it?

There is plenty of factual history out there about his various and multiple misdemeanours.

What, for beating up a copper:

"I'm a young 23, 21-year-old lad and I'm pissed up, like to fight, and we're fighting, so I started fighting him, and when he's gone down to the floor."
Speaking in a low-voice now: "I've kicked him in the head."

Or perhaps for mortgage fraud?

Crikey, I didn't know the US was so lenient.

Then if they allow race baiter Al Sharpton some slack. You're probably right on the leniency......

Peter mandleson twice committed mortgage fraud...did he go to prison...or even charged.
