Edited by Willo (16 Apr 2013 8.02pm) The final full stop should be inside the inverted commas. I disagree (on the grammar criticism). Willo is correct in using the full point outside the quotation marks, where the quotation is a subordinate part of the sentence, used in effect as parentheses.
