Absolutely not to both Potter and Lampard.
I would buy my ticket but rarely attend.
Oakland is utterly useless and Potter has been shown for what he is by the current man at the weed.

I’ve not read this entire thread but I’m assuming no one has seriously mentioned Lampard? I’d return my season ticket if we ever did that.

Frank would probably be more of a disaster than even Vieira, which is saying something.

Vieira's first season was actually quite successful I think. The second season had a dreadful run of fixtures upfront, but for whatever reason he ran out of steam, and ultimately Parish made the right decision to sack him when he did

I don't want to see Lampard here either, but a disaster to you is being 12th place?

Idiotic statement.

Systematically dragged down by the lawmakers

Agreed - if it ain’t broke, why f try to fix it!

Press are now reporting Roy close to signing a one year contract.

Clever move from Steve P. Seems the players thrive under Roy and with a few additions (right back and striker), we will be ready for yet another season among the big boys. Even if Zaha never play for us again...

Even I have warmed to Roy's second appointment, but I feel that extending his tenure just kicks the can further down the road. Roy puts faith in experience and I'm not sure that he is the person to incorporate the best of the youth set-up for next season and certainly beyond. That said, maybe this why Paddy has been brought in, to bridge that particular gap.

In the past extending Roy's deal might be seen as an issue in recruiting new players (given he is unlikely to be in charge for more than another year), but given the high turnover of managers I'm not so sure players even factor in who is manager these days.

My original concern was how awful the football had been under Roy in the last two years of his previous tenure. This has been alleviated somewhat by performances since he's returned (albeit against terrible opposition) so I'm not so set against another year of Roy. Also, the more Garth Crooks uses his Team of the Week to attack us the more I want Roy to stay just to pi$$ him off.

Little to do with our next manager, but is anybody watching the Luton v Sunderland play off game tonoght?
Edwards is a highly regarded manager at Luton, but the style is similar to the Wimbledon kick and rush team of yesteryear.
A team of giants playing the percentage game with lots of emphasis on set pieces.
Quite refreshing in a way as nobody plays that way anymore.
A side note of interest is the duel between Clarke and Dramen, two players who we are linked with.

In my humble estimation, Jack Clarke was a disappointment tonight.I have seen him perform with far greater aplomb.
