But you'll have realised years ago that the Premiership isn't a competition in the true sense of the word. It's sublime when we beat Citeh, Liverpool, Chelsea, but there are a million reasons why we are unlikely to. In so far as we are in a competition, it is with the likes of Southampton, Leicester, Wolves: teams that are unlikely to finish in the top six and yet should not be troubled by relegation. I share the frustration. But you'll have realised years ago that the Premiership isn't a competition in the true sense of the word. It's sublime when we beat Citeh, Liverpool, Chelsea, but there are a million reasons why we are unlikely to. We should be in for and need a striker To me it looks like PV has fallen out of love with Mateta so he is playing Edouard , who now does not seem up to it ( I hoped he would be ) and Ayew who has never been up to it . If we let Zaha go we will be in deep ****

The Times reporting at 10:15 today that we have submitted 27mil bid for CG!

We cant.

But to be fair, the top teams end up spending way way over the market values, I'm sure by about 50%. Particularity with the mess UTD are in at the moment. Selling clubs know they are desperate.

We on the other hand, wont be able to. So have to be looking at players clubs don't mind letting go.

Transfer Update ! This has to be one of our worst premiership windows so far. Left/injured/potentially leaving since end of last season. Kelly, Benteke, Kouyate, Fergusson, Tompkins, Mcarthur, Riedewald, Zaha. Players signed going straight into 1st XI Doucoure Other signings Rogers, Ebiowei, Johnstone (but we persist with Guaita) Proven Forward signed (& Benteke replacement) None Young players (Aderemola, Banks, Plange etc) being loaned out - Very useful to have when our own injuries kick in ! We give Rak-Sakyi a 5 year contract and then loan him out to the 'C' word of all clubs - why don't we make more use of our own young players and him in particular, especially when PV has a policy it seems of making signings for the 16/18 age groups ? I get why Nottingham Forest are throwing money around like water but are there not players there for whom we might have competed ? The news this morning of an apparent bid for CG is good (but does Wilf fit in somewhere ?) and maybe we will all be stunned by our business in the next 3 days or so but having followed this club since 1973 there is a nagging feeling of competing at the top table on the cheap.

Transfer Update !

This has to be one of our worst premiership windows so far.

Left/injured/potentially leaving since end of last season.
Kelly, Benteke, Kouyate, Fergusson, Tompkins, Mcarthur, Riedewald, Zaha.

Players signed going straight into 1st XI
Doucoure

Other signings
Rogers, Ebiowei, Johnstone (but we persist with Guaita)

Proven Forward signed (& Benteke replacement)
None

Young players (Aderemola, Banks, Plange etc) being loaned out - Very useful to have when our own injuries kick in !

We give Rak-Sakyi a 5 year contract and then loan him out to the 'C' word of all clubs - why don't we make more use of our own young players and him in particular, especially when PV has a policy it seems of making signings for the 16/18 age groups ?

I get why Nottingham Forest are throwing money around like water but are there not players there for whom we might have competed ?

The news this morning of an apparent bid for CG is good (but does Wilf fit in somewhere ?) and maybe we will all be stunned by our business in the next 3 days or so but having followed this club since 1973 there is a nagging feeling of competing at the top table on the cheap.
