No-one other than Mueller, his team and the NY attorney has the evidence. It was redacted. Mueller's statement was enough. Barr's ruling scuppered any further action at that time. The "Democrats" weren't involved. Mueller's enquiry was initiated by Trump's own justice department. As predicted though, the squeeze on Trump is beginning to tighten. Not yet on Russia. Be patient. Always with the jam tomorrow. The more the Democrats wish to attack Trump the better....it's accelerationism. Elites on the right need to be in fear before a necessary split and schism can happen. Trump is a massive figure in Republicanism so this aggression is welcome as far as I'm concerned. Edited by Stirlingsays (19 May 2021 10.37am)

That US politics can be a dirty business is undoubtedly true. So though is the improbability of any large scale conspiracy remaining undiscovered these days. With whistleblowing, investigative journalism and the prospect of fame and fortune so readily available it's going to be found out. There are more than enough suitably motivated outlets for such information. So if it was true then the proof would have been found by now. It hasn't. Therefore, the conclusion has to be that it is extremely unlikely that it ever will be and is therefore untrue. Scandal always leaks. It tends to. However, how far it's known to the masses can be controlled. The media control the megaphone just as they shape the attitudes of their demographics. The idea of a 'free press' was always a bit of a myth...because he who pays the piper calls the tune....Still there use to be more independent journalists around in the past....that is definite. I look to alternative media myself, though I recognise that it also has its issues.

Frankly I would guess they would not want to poke a vipers nest and would prefer to allow him to destroy himself with his outrageous claims. Making him appear to be a martyr isn't helpful. It's the law which is doing its job. Slowly, thoroughly and, hopefully, non-politically.

Newspapers always like a good story that helps circulation irrespective of where it comes from. I have a friend, now retired, who was a senior journalist for the Mail and previous to that at the Express. I am sure you would agree neither could be described as left wing papers. We have been friends for a very long time and when, in 1968, Powell made his "Rivers of Blood" speech the first conspiracy theory I can recall began to circulate. No social media back then, so this was all bar-room chatter. The story was that Powell was involved with some Army Generals and was planning to march to Westminster supported by tanks and take over Parliament. It seems this was widely believed. I lived near a military base at the time and the pub I used was frequented by personnel from the base. I picked up on some gossip from them which seemed to support the theory and passed it on to my friend. He was all over it in an instant, trying to find something they could publish. No suggestion at all that it would be suppressed in any way. So I do think that anything really genuine will find a way onto the public square and if it doesn't, it is almost certainly just a fanciful theory being promulgated either as mischief or for more sinister reasons.

Both the Mail and Express are owned by globalist interests. When we talk about globalism we aren't really talking about the left wing....the left run the public institutions certainly but what's important to globalists is that left are mainly their 'useful idiots' and cheer leaders which they won because of the corporate pivots on social issues.....all decided after the Wall Street demonstrations in 2008. No, globalists are economically neo liberal and fully invested in whatever policies they think keep them in power and control over whatever arises within the political systems. They don't really care about left or right as long as their control isn't threatened. Edited by Stirlingsays (19 May 2021 12.35pm)

Yeah, pretty much says it all. I posted a couple of jokes in a row. If you can't plaster on a smile and need to launch back after a yellow with the usual crap attitude, I'll remind you that mods previously had to remove multiple 'Philippines' themed type posts of yours about Wisbech. Posts that were ludicrous lies only posted due to hatred of an elderly cancer sufferer. So talk of misinformation falls closer to home I believe. Edited by BlueJay (19 May 2021 12.23pm)

Posts that were ludicrous lies only posted due to hatred of an elderly cancer sufferer. So talk of misinformation falls closer to home I believe. I never said, 'I know'.....but it seems you claim to. Interesting. I had no issues with those posts being deleted: I went too far on something I had no way of proving. Also what has cancer got to do with that? It wasn't even known on here at the time. As for misinformation....if it's proven that I'm wrong about something I'll always make amends. However as we can see with this tragic Policeman's death and certain people's hasty posts on it: You don't track back. Edited by Stirlingsays (19 May 2021 12.34pm)
