Corbyn answering Andrew Neil on how he’d pay for the WASPI pensions is embarrassing for Labour. As bad as it gets.

‘Where will you get the money on top of the borrowing we’ve just spoken about?’

‘It’ll be paid for with govt reserves.’

‘We don’t have any’

Repeat at least 5 or more times.

Yes we do (at least according to this) [Link]

I haven't seen it but apparently last night Andrew Neil take Wee Jimmy Krankie to pieces. I bet the others are dreading their turn.

But we are still in debt and the main thrust of the interview was tax, tax, tax, borrowing, borrowing, borrowing. I’d be confident if I knew it was for a limited time, which it would be but unfortunately because it would no doubt get out of control.

I was just surprised he stated something that was so incorrect. As for borrowing we could do an America, their debt is $22 trillion!!!!

This is probably the best fisking I've seen Brillo do to date. It was brutal, methodical, and utterly unforgiving....

..and then back to the realms of complete fantasy, we have this:

I'm personally looking forward to Boris now. I don't think he will come out of it any better than Corbyn.

£1.8 trillion, even at very low interest rates, has to be serviced. And they won't be low forever.

Even if we did to waste them would be criminal.

I've got my own ideas what is criminal but don't want to get into a debate just pointing out that he was wrong, which was surprising.

I didn't see proof of anything there.

I think you are grasping at straws. If there had been significant reserves Brown and co would have spent them.

And just like what he did was criminal and irresponsible, so would be wiping out any reserves now.
