The answer is going to be no!

Well that is where we are with Tekkers, we have persevered with him and it is really starting to hurt us now. There are 6 games left against the so called lesser teams. If he doesn’t score in any of those games would you be wanting him to start next season up front for Palace?

Thanks , he would agree he hasn"t had a great return on the goal front this season but did well last season and is an all round beast in the centre of the field, wins most headers bringing others in to play, good defence as i already stated, and yeah, i would keep him for next season !If he scores in every one of those 6 games left, would you stil want to get rid of him?

Why laugh? It worked well when Tekkers was injured earlier this season. Thank god we have goals in the rest of the team, so the original post is far from laughable.

If the right offer came in absolutely, I just can’t see it happening for him, he just doesn’t seem to anticipate anything inside the 18 yard box this season.I saw some footage of him when he was at Villa, the runs he made all over the pitch and into the box were unbelievable.

I don’t know what is going on in his mind, but I feel we have been truly mugged off...

this topic has gone on for what feels like all season, he has lost all confidence in front off goal but has done good work in defence ,
sadly we need him scoring not defending, do we keep him and spend silly money on a new AJ or wrighty to play with him, if we could find one,
in todays game you have tobe both which means he needs to go, even if he scores in all of the last 6 games means we will still have the same problem next season he is no Defoe or Phillips he his a one trick pony

RLC storming forward from midfield, he hardly breaks sweat, never seen him storming anywhere.

To be fair he did look good breaking forward from midfield early in the season and he got an England call up on the back of that. Can't be all bad.

I'll settle of Benteke scoring 8 goals from 32 games this season, a total I wouldn't of settled for at the beginning of the season!

The premier league web site is a mine of stat information. I have had a quick look at the stats for the top 10 list of 'missed big chances', combined it with the number of goals scored, to give a percentage conversion rate - makes depressing reading (nobody else is even close):

Christian Benteke 2 out of 22 9.09%
Mohamed Salah 29 out of 48 60.42%
Harry Kane 24 out of 40 60.00%
Álvaro Morata 11 out of 26 42.31%
Sergio Agüero 21 out of 34 61.76%
Alexandre Lacazette 10 out of 22 45.45%
Richarlison 5 out of 16 31.25%
Gabriel Jesus 9 out of 20 45.00%
Romelu Lukaku 15 out of 26 57.69%
Sadio Mané 9 out of 20 45.00%

These are all strikers from top 10 teams, how does he compare to strikers in the bottom 6..

I agree about the lack of forward options as opposed to the the other teams at the bottom of the table.
I watched the Cardiff game the other night and even Warnock was able to change the game by throwing on three new forwards.
It was evident at the beginning of the season that Wickhsm would not be fit for the bulk of the season and to go into the new season with one striker was irresponsible.
This is not said in hindsight - many fans have pointed this out from the beginning of the season and Hodgson identified it upon joining.
He was expecting 2 strikers in the January window ready to make an immediate contribution.
If Palace survive this season it certainly won’t be through careful planning .

Spot on. Decent squad should have 4 strikers for all of the season. We now have potentially 4, 3 are injured. Perhaps if Allardyce had stayed we may well of had 4 at the beginning, FDB's total football might of been singing off a different hymn sheet. Seems we have thrown all of our eggs into one basket namely Tekkers. Let's hope we don't end with it all on our face at the end of the season.

When it comes to our attacking options, none are obviously good. I would stick with Benteke despite his appalling record in front of goal this year. Now is not the time to take what's left of his confidence and snuff it out by dropping him for no recognised striker. If the alternative plan fails, and Benteke subsequently falters even as a hold up player, we'd be deep deep in the s***. (Which we are anyway). Maybe he shins one in v Bournemouth, plays well, and builds from there. Or maybe he just holds it up well, we win and that's enough. Dropping him is unwise.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.
