Or possibly the available stock has been used up by people testing themselves every 20 minutes.

Very possibly Teddy, but any competent government would know you can"t trust Joe public to follow the rules to the hilt, or even understand them the way this lot keep changing them. But to be sure, in a pandemic, you have to over order, for a rainy day, just to veer on the safe side, this looks like it wasn"t done- perhaps they were still hung over from the previous nights party!Incompetence none the less, CONservative gov incompetence!

Sorry how on Earth does that back anything up? There is literally nothing that can be drawn to conclude even remotely that it is anything to do with the vaccine.

These are professionals in the field.

I thought you considered that important.

What they actually said didn't seem related to the vaccine but to the effect of decisions taken.

3 hour queues for jab in Hungerford, if you don"t have corona, you sure could be catching flu or at best a bad cold!

Century of the self and all that

I know, I'm remembering back to 1999....Those are the days...the number of times I'd found myself tripping over all those altruistic middle class Buddhas lined up outside NHS hospitals desperate to give blood and organs so that their fellow man/woman could go on with their lives.

Or did I eat some old cheese last night and dream it all?

I really must stop eating cheese at night.

Haha look stop being so endlessly cynical

Just because some people don't care about their impact on society or how their own actions can benefit others through simple courtesies doesn't stop people who want to be a little less selfish doing so. It also doesn't mean that you have to do it all the time – just be a little more socially polite and considerate when you can. Can't see what's wrong with that...

I think if you get to fifty and aren't cynical you're probably missing a sandwich somewhere.....you never know by the time you get there you might make me look like Bambi.

Being considerate to others is certainly well mannered and of course harmless if it isn't taken advantage of.....Personally I wouldn't take to the extent of taking vaccines for others, but I tip my hat your way if you wish to.

Perhaps I'd consider it a little more if my parents were still knocking about but by fifty that's often not the case.

WE are out of home testing kits- how on earth are we ment to test ourselves if we think we might have the virus, but are not sure to go in to work or not , prime minister? In a pandemic, ongoing for nearly 2 years, didn"t anyone, anyone at all in the government, think of ordering enough testing kits?

Surely that 47 billion hasn't gone already.
Oh well just write another cheque chancellor.
Then wait to get accused of giving it to ya mates.

Whatever your motivation for getting jabbed, the effect is to reduce the stress on the NHS. In making yourself safer, you do that. By not being as likely to be infectious to others, you do that.

We don't live is isolation, unless we are a hermit. We share our country and have responsibilities to each other, whether we like it, or not. Some responsibilities are mandated by laws, others by a moral obligation, but all are important.

We need to be team players, and not only play for ourselves. You know very well that teams are stronger when they are well organised and perform as a group.

That's all that's asked. Play your part as a team member. If you don't, then you face being dropped.
