Anyway to draw this back to events surrounding freeing ourselves from political European institutions the 'European court of human rights' just recently produced a decision effectively censoring criticism of Islam. An utterly disgusting betrayal of secularism and true defenders of secularism and reason know what a fight we have on our hands in both this country and in the west generally. Really sad on Brexit, might as well have a right-wing UKIP government dedicated to Brexit or a Marxist super Labour style left government determined to bring Brexit.Con and lab don't work full of Oxbridge elitists.

That should be the accepted exchange. Shall I tell everyone criticising teaching to stop commenting? Shall I present myself as some unchallengable expert because I'm so full of myself? This notion that 'knowledgeable' people on subjects always reach the right conclusions is laughable given recent years...and even historical record. Managers are nearly always the reason the system is 'gamed' so much that it can never work. Only fools admire credentials, sensible people look at cause/effect and results. OK ''So nursing needs to get back to its roots....a profession staffed mainly by bright working class or lower middle class women......not this ridiculous 'degree' requirement.'' Is that also how you feel about other professions, such as teaching? Especially Primary School, who needs qualifications eh? Just common sense really. After all, it's not like it makes a lifetime of a difference to those affected. Your comments about 'bright working class' are just weird. So Nursing isn't a suitable job for middle and upper middle class people apparently. What do you think it involves, just bottom wiping whilst the Doctors - who are all posh - do the proper thinking? Nurses need Degrees all over the world but apparently that is far too much knowledge for our little helpers. It's not like things move on and they have to learn about new concepts, technology and techniques. And if it is really needed, we'll buy such skills in from overseas. The way you belittle nursing is, quite frankly, unbelievable. Do you remember how much study SRNs used to do? And by the way, why women? That, for sure, is sexist. The Doctors' little helpers must be girly eh? Finally, as you know I spent years hiring and managing nurses, coming from all over the world. I do know what I am talking about. But of course, you don't believe in expertise now do you?

You talk such nonsense. There may be modern aspects that require higher specialization? However, I can't imagine that's not achievable on the job. But requiring a degree? What complete horses***e......that's just the kind of claptrap that overly arrogant elitist system gummers talk. So its interesting that you defend this position. As for teaching, it is a profession that has been degree led since its modern inception. If its incoming numbers ever made that impractical then it would also certainly need to adjust.......indeed the reality in many a classroom makes a mockery of the 'degree' requirement. Again, comparing different professions as if they should be the same because......well... As for your puerile and trite comment over sexism. It's again a reality that nursing is significantly more attractive to females than it is to most males. That's called nature. I have no issues with male nurses if they are good enough and it's silly comments like yours which show the ridiculous sensitively that 'progressive' lefties have over language....most nurses are female and in twenty years time most nurses will still be female and if you want me to modify my language for some unisex requirement because you are sensitive to reality you can jog on.

They want these elitists to have full power and authority, especially after their superb handling of the Brexit negotiations. If they don't like them they can vote them out such is our great democratic process, as given the choice everyone would choose Theresa May, David Davis, Boris et al to lead us to the promised land

We have too many politicians as it is.....What I would do is have a high IQ measurement requirement for parliament.....specifically based upon reasoning....and I might possibly add that the applicant must have at least five or ten years experience successfully working in the private sector. It might lead you to wonder if some parties could fill out their representative allocation.
