Neither is the most common position across the age bands and I think the most sensible one. As with Ukraine, as per Orban, we should have focused upon negotiation and humanitarian assistance where possible.

What this shows here is that the whiter the age band the more Israeli support there is.....kind of ironic really.

If you can draw a positive from this....and you can't really as innocent blood on any side is always a genuine tragedy.

But a positive is that the reaction against Jews has been so massive on the left that you are going to see a lot of Jews shift to the right or at the very least stop funding political movements.

When it comes to the wealthy donors and organisations that's nothing but a positive.

Jews are having the fact that their only real protectors are white Christian boomer populations (exactly who they have been attacking) and if they want to survive outside of Israel they better stop attacking and start aligning with their meal ticket.

I predict more Ben Shapiros......it's not organic but born of self interest but it's better than the alternative. Their problem is that the demographic change might already be too deep.

Fundamentally true but the pressure of the reaction of people in leafy England and around the world builds on their own governments who in turn build pressure on the participants. In this instance especially on Israel. If the US support begins to weaken then they may have to start to rethink.

The US vetoed a UN resolution calling for a ceasefire tonight. They were the only country to vote against. We abstained, the only other country not to vote in favour.

That’s heavy pressure however much Israel claims not to respect the UN.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

Appalling. Sanctioning shooting, bombing and starving of civilians. Just my opinion. And it will only put remaining Israeli hostages at more risk.

Then again, American and British arms suppliers will be rubbing their hands, as will construction companies when (eventually) Israel starts dishing out contracts for re-building on their newly-acquired land.
