I believe that you have to vote for the process. Labour will win. What the country needs is better representation for the so called right. The Tories no longer represent that. We need someone to challenge on immigration, wokery and all that comes with it.

I believe it is not our place in a proper functioning democracy to make micro tactical decisions on voting. "A vote for Reform is a vote for Labour" is hog wash. Those inclined to their politics should look no further than a vote for Reform being a vote for the view they are most closely aligned to. And nothing else. Democracy is screwed when people over think it.

Democracy is screwed when people over think it. We barely have a proper functioning democracy, which is a huge part of why people end up tactically voting. It's all well and good saying just vote for whoever you are closest aligned to, but we have an electoral system where that results in a Tory majority nearly every time - despite the majority of the public voting for parties on the left in most elections.

If you spend your whole life relying upon, or hoping for, intelligent thinking from the masses in this country, you are going to be seriously and permanently disappointed. Only today I mentioned election day to a MANAGER where I work, and they didn't even know there was an election. "Seriously?" I asked. Edited by YT (03 Jul 2024 11.52am)

That is a product of effective monopoly of right for eons and a split in the left for the same period. An equation that may be altering with the emergence of Reform? People weep on here about the fate of the Tories, but all I see is them having to adapt to what the other side of the line has had to deal with for generations. But you should still decide with your conscience.

It's actually a she not a he. And they won't care about not having a view because they aren't interested.

I'm certainly not weeping about the fate of the Tories.

Firstly because she is an excellent constituency MP, accessible and helpful. And I will be voting for Labour for the first time in my life, for that reason: twice in the last parliament our MP helped me promptly and effectively with problems I was having with our state-run institutions, and I promised her at the time that I would transfer my allegiance. I have to admit, though, that as she already has a majority of
