Their statement is far more professional than the club’s embarrassing effort.

Take note, 2010. This has been handled appallingly.

Yes, regardless of content the writing is excellent, clear and concise.

Can we get HF to takeover the shop, stadium facilities and F and B as they would doubtless do better than the incumbents.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

If the HF could create 10% of this atmosphere we would be the best in the premier.

COME ON CPFC. Call a meeting for all concerned and get this resolved NOW.

We are throwing away a major opportunity to become London’s elite supporters. If we do nothing we will lose everything.

Is this a joke? Just because they have written 3 pages of waffle these so called fanatics are going to dictate to a multi million pound business? Get real !!!!
To imagine that they can recreate an atmosphere like that at Wembley on a regular basis is wishful thinking.
People who throw their toys out of the pram like these have cannot be called fanatics - that name is more appropriate for those long term supporters who have suffered all of the bad times but who still retain their season tickets.
There is no doubt that the so called HF have done a lot of good but they have also caused division - I clearly remember them fighting with other Palace fans in Holmesdale Road and who can forget their disgraceful abuse of the players in the defeat at home to Sunderland? The club has given them a lot in return and has shown appreciation of their impact but in this argument over seating the club is entirely correct. Any seating rearrangement must wait until the old stand is redeveloped.

I love the Holmesdale Fanatics. They’ve done a lot for the club, whatever way you wanna try and angle it. I’ve backed them to the hilt and I’m not gonna try and reign on their legacy now because of the current disagreement. But I have to just be honest about how I view this particular situation.

The idea that the statement they’ve just produced is some form of inspirational genius is absolute fantasy. When you take away the sales pitch & read between the lines, they’re still essentially proposing that their movement takes precedence over other fans.

The one idea that I just cannot get behind, no matter how much I miss the HF, is the idea that because a group of fans express their support in a certain way, we must delegitimise the importance of other fans for their sake. I know supporters of the HF in this will say this isn’t the case, but attempting to force people out of their seats simply because they don’t sing as loudly is doing precisely that whether you want to accept that or not. The fact of the matter is, some of them have had their seat for years & they are under absolutely no obligation whatsoever to justify to anyone why they wish to remain seated there. Who is anyone at the club, from top to bottom, to define to everyone else what being a Palace fan means?

They say in their statement that Block E weren’t consulted. What if they were “properly” consulted, and still said no? Then what? What’s the solution? Go back to Block B which in their words was apparently failing anyway? This is the thing that frustrates me most about what the HF are doing at the moment, they’re failing to be grown up enough to consider the full reality and pitfalls of their proposals.

Before anyone pipes up with the usual brainless nonsense that anyone who disagrees with the HF is a keyboard warrior nonce. I’ve been in pubs having a drink with them before many games. I’d be happy to tell them this is my point of view to their face. But as it stands, they’re nowhere to be seen.

I don’t want people to hate the HF over this. Division is the last thing that’s needed. But people should be allowed to have an opposing point of view without their level of support or vision for the club being questioned. It’s pathetic.

Anyone who’s ever paid any attention to posts I’ve made in the past will know I’m far from a member of the Steve Parish fan club. And I think, once again, he’s handled this pretty amateur like. But when I look at the grand scheme of things with this, even after the HF’s statement, I’m still with the club on this one.

The fanatics remind me of a young Kenny Sansom, breaking into the first team.
Power, strength, vitality, bursting with enthusiasm.
The want to covet every moment of the game.

No, hang on, they're more like little Ian Walsh. Banging away, annoyingly at time, through out the entire game. But remarkably powerful.

Or should I compare them to Jerry Murphy. Incredibly vulnerable looking, but amazingly effective, with the ability to turn a game.

What I'm trying to say is the Fanatics are like the best youth team we ever had.

And we're going to crush their spirit, because we're all just a bunch of old pant wetting knee tremblers who couldn't say boo to a goose.

Whereas - for all their foibles of youth, which are many - they have amazing potential.

I wish they could be beckoned back into the fold. It's better to have them inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in.

Ah, you make some good points here.

You must have been typing this as I was typing my counter argument (see above)

I’m 23 and opposed to it. And that’s not opposed to the vision, I think the end goal that they want would be f***ing amazing at Selhurst. I’m opposed to the idea that they are able to implement it without consent from the people who’s seats they want.

The minute that happens, you are literally telling supporters of all generations that effectively, unless you bang a drum and sing loud, your support is less valued. That can’t be right. It just can’t be, however old you are.

They have to get consent, and non influenced/pressurised consent at that.

The trouble is people think they own their seats when they really don’t. The club have the option to change seating arrangements for many reasons.

People are always going on about the HF thinking they’re better than other fans but the ones turning up like zombies because it’s a habit they’ve had for decades are the ones who seem to have a superiority complex. With assurances that they will have their seat replaced with a decent alternative, people should look to the greater good.

I’ve had a ST in the lower Holmesdale since it opened. I’m nothing to do with the HF, I just want a ground with an atmosphere. I remember how bad it used to be.
