Managers and coaches have the expertise to judge players. Our goalkeeper has been judged by people who know to be good enough to play in the Premiership and for his country. Fans just have opinions. If our goalkeeper was as bad as some on here are saying he would be neither in the team nor playing for his country.
There are always better players out there than we have got but they are all playing for better teams than us and will not want to drop down to our level even if we could afford it.
In the managers opinion we have a suitable goalkeeper based on football expertise even if some fans opinions do not go along with it.
Lets us just be what we are good at as fans and support all that play for our club.

There is no great divide , so I repeat this without apology.

I don't recall anyone proclaiming Wayne as good or great , I/we all just say he is not as bad as you and others make out(i.e not cr@p) , but as soon as anyone says that you and others translate it as Wayne is great / world class .
Most do indeed think he is just an average / decent goalkeeper and try and support him against the OTT criticism post by the people who don't like him mainly because he replaced Speroni.
The debate continues because those who think he is rubbish because of the above , will not not rest until we all say he is rubbish.
You now agree with me that he is average which TBF is good enough for CPFC until we can afford significantly better for a reasonable price, and as you know that seems to be easier said than done.

No one will win the argument against you BG as you twist everything round into some kind of personal attack on you .

What are you actually arguing for ?1. Do you want everyone to say WH is as cr@p as you say he is ?
Not going to happen , because he is not.

2 Do you want everyone to say Julian should still be CPFC No 1 .
That won't happen because that will be people's opinion and everyone will be different. We know your opinion why keep repeating ?

We all know Wayne makes mistakes .

We all know we would like a top class keeper , but who and for how much that would be significantly better? Look how good McCarthy and Mandanda turned out. We obviously needed to invest a lot more.

Do you think that when / if we get a better keeper you will be able to say 'I told you so'? You won't because everybody already knows all the problems with WH.

We all know you love and are passionate about CPFC ,
we all are , but how do you think criticising WH so much is going to improve things ?
