From what it thought so far (which is at least as valuable as your surmising), you're significantly more likely to have very mild symptoms post vaccination than you are if you don't. Unless you are stuck in 'me mode' and just thinking about what might happen to you rather than community wide of consequence of not bothering, which appears to be the major stumbling block of some. Along with a misunderstanding or aversion to statistics and probability. Edited by BlueJay (12 Dec 2021 2.07am)

In Ireland 96 percent of over 18s are fully jabbed and it's pretty much lockdown over there! Even with your vaccine you are in for a lifetime of restrictions and lockdown! So good luck to you! :-) The vaccine has not been in the least bit ineffective. It has been shown to be very effective and while antibodies (initial gatekeepers) may not be a perfect fit with new variants (much like the flu) there has literally still yet to be any significant immune escape for T-Cell immunity (as in once you contract it) even now. So at minimal it's a major buffer against something that would have caused very significant death and illness. To me that's a real positive. This will inevitably and politically be clouded or contorted by fact that so many people are likely to get ill within the next few weeks and months, hence there are still pressures on hospitals etc. But in comparison to a do nothing approach it will still be a limited hit vs a major one, and from there the virus itself will act as a booster. It's another situation where it's best case but may look sh!tty so people to say it's 'ineffective'. There's a sensible mid way point on most things, but this place generally doesn't do that. It's bound to be a tough few months and personally I'm against further lockdowns, because I don't see that a slight delay of something that's especially transmissible is worth the hit to business, mental health etc. We've made significant sacrifices and put ourselves in the best position possible so that has to be for a purpose. Those who are especially vulnerable should make the best choices for themselves and we should ride out this storm. Time to take it on the chin, but not in conjunction with 'why get vaccinated, test, care' in tow. Every positive move has a positive effect. Swanning though it without a care may activate 'big man' mode, but it helps to consider others and what they are facing along the way. To an extent we do have a duty to others. Meanwhile, even the Telegraph has managed to say something negative about the Covid situation. "The number of patients waiting more than eight hours to be handed over from an ambulance to A&E has increased almost tenfold this year compared to pre-pandemic. Some 218 patients waited eight hours or more outside English hospitals in 2021, compared to just 23 patients in 2019, information obtained by The Telegraph, through Freedom of Information requests, reveals. Experts said “patients are dying every day” due to the delays, which they said are caused by infection control procedures limiting bed capacity, the social care crisis leaving patients stuck in hospitals and widespread staffing problems." (Telegraph online, 12/12/21) And these moaners only had a massive pay rise recently,..

(Telegraph online, 12/12/21) And these moaners only had a massive pay rise recently,.. I have just taken my wife to our local hospital where she will work a 12 hour shift in A & E. I counted around 20 ambulances waiting outside. At 6.30 am on a Sunday! Apparently these aren't just waiting for the patients to be seen. Many have been triaged, and given initial treatment and medication, normally pain relief, and are then waiting for a bed in the appropriate ward. With wards full and no more beds in A & E, they get put back in the ambulance to wait. Infection control issues, caused by Covid, slow everything down. This is the situation now, before the anticipated surge. I expect that we will be seeing increased restrictions in January, with indoor meeting limited again and hospitals postponing elective surgery. So I have no idea who you think are "moaning".

It's amusing that you pursue this angle when posting to Dan....someone who literally turned down an arm wrestle. That beats me! What has arm wrestling got to do with weedy straggly beards, and staring eyes? This isn't anything to do with how "macho" someone thinks they are, or whether being capable of "arm wrestling" also confers intellectual superiority. It is solely about how a similarity of appearance appears to conflate with a similarity of attitude.

Anyway I'm bored wiping the floor with you two. You must get easily bored. The next time will be the first time. You have been wrung dry on here in recent days. You haven't got a leg to stand on, yet you persist with the same old arguments. Best you take one of your sabbaticals, like you do when your tail has been forced between where your legs used to be. Go join Hrolf and you can moan together about lefties and the white tribe being marginalised whilst watching YouTube.

I'd posted to Dan, but as usual your sad desperate need to reply to most of my posts results in your usual fantasies. I'll continue posting.....it's just that unlike you I get bored with repeating myself. I'll just post at those I like....which will probably also include Dan....but probably not about the Kung Flu.
