At a time when the indigenous population made a negative contribution of £591bn, the EU migrants made a positive contribution of £4.4bn. So why throw out what appears to be the only population that is contributing. Goodness knows how we are even afloat.

It is also interesting that since 2000 European migrants were 43 per cent less likely than native Britons to receive benefits or tax credits.

The EU population are only contributing because they are denied benefits that the native population aren't.

It's not them doing us a favour or being somehow more productive.

The reasons the EU migrants have to go is nothing to do with economics.....Just how many times has this point been made already.

Just goes to show you can't believe everything you read, after all Stirling posted an article which stated the UK benefitted by £4bn.

Unfortunately alot of people take what is said as gospel from the press like the daily mail rather look at the benefits of EU membership objectively

Yeah, everyone on my side of the argument takes what the Daily Mail says as gospel.

While NOBODY on your side of the argument does this with the Guardian or other left-wing outlets. Correct?

PP seems to have an obsession with the Daily Mail.

Does anyone on here actually read it? I occasionally read the Telegraph.....that's it.

Immigration is a significant net loss to this country.....the statistics can be bent to show just about anything that's true, but anyone with common sense knows that increasing a population by 300,000 a year is a disaster for infrastructure and pensions and all the rest of it.

These pro immigration people have no answers except 'more immigration' for when the present immigrants get to retirement age.

It's a ponzi scheme and they have bought into it......fifth columnists most of them.

Are the EU a race then?

Never mind, if people like you want to call it racism think what you like.

That word no longer bothers me.

Your only counter arguments are "that's what is says the Daily Mail", "that's what Farage says" and "racist." Would be nice to debate with facts, reason and logic.

There are outstanding mathematicians in countries outside of Europe also. I know it's hard to believe!

Funnily enough not only do I know that but I tried to bring some in from China, the USA and from Russia.

Not a flaming hope. This is one reason why post Brexit is going to be a nightmare.

And by the way, how many thousands of mental health nurses are we short? I tried to bring in some supremely qualified ones from Manila. Frustrated every step of the way, it took away a year of my life. Not one single nurse was given a work permit.

If you seriously think we can replace the talent we obtained from the EU through immigration from other countries you are living in cloud cuckoo land.

Some people have actually walked the walk, and frankly it looks bleak. Please don't repeat back to me the nonsense sent out by politicians, on this one I certainly know better.

Many sectors are short and have been for many years now.
How often have you vented your anger at our (any colours) govt for this lack of investment in the past?

....and while we're talking Europe, Italy are still a huge problem to the ever so 'accommodating bloc' and Deutsche Bank, despite all their cost cutting are still unable to crawl out of the s*** that they created (sorry Chris but as posted previously, you're wrong bud).
These are two huge problems for you all.

Don't see any point in further carping about the EU.
