This will be a disaster for Israel’s standing in the world, not least among the younger Americans.

History will look back on these days and say this was a watershed moment. Israel is surrounded by those who at best have tolerated her, but are unlikely to for much longer. If her only real friend, the USA, cuts off her support she will feel increasing heat. It could get very nasty indeed.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Yes it is reasonable from an armchair in leafy England, but this is war, and it's a war between two sides who know no compromise.
