The way its going, we will be the first club in the Championship with a silly singing section. It will totally irrelevant and nobody will be interested.

Why wouldn’t people be interested? It would probably be a positive for the section as less people in the lower tier will renew, freeing up space for those who want to get close to it.

Just give them the whole of the lower tier at the Sainsbury’s end. They can then be called the Sainsbury’s Fanatics. It’s not got quite the same ring to it. It would be good if Virgin bought the store though and then they could be called the Virgin Fanatics. That sounds about right.

Glad our club got in there first, leading the way as it should be.

Expect every other premier league club to do this within the next year

Our club first?? Obvious;y never been to Anfield then.I remember when Gary Sprake (Leeds goalie)played the whole ground would break into song singing Careless hands not to mention their unofficial anthem You'll never walk alone. What's more they didn't need a singing section as the Kop always led and the rest folowed.

Never. Palace since I was six years old. I just find some of these statements about the HF way OTT.

Palace did not exist before the HF and football before the Premiership.

Gary Sprake played for Leeds and Wales, I was there when we were losing 1-2 to Leeds and John McCormick lobbed the ball towards the goal and Sprake let the ball slip through his hands and into the net which gave us a 2-2 draw.

LOL, Rudi, I had forgotten about that Dragon's Den nonsense. Didnt he agree to go on and then backtrack there!? Sounds familiar.

He is not, never was, and never will be a "football man".

This entire shower of &&&&& could have been averted and handled entirely better and differently. Alas Parish was in charge....and the rest is history.

That won't be the last of the backtracks either. Mark my words - THE NEW STAND WILL NOT HAPPEN UNDER PARISH'S WATCH. In fact, I don't think he'd be that unhappy with relegation as it would give him the ultimate excuse for backing out.

The bloke is from marketing, which itself is built around bullshyte.

It was John Sewell (Shovel) who scored that goal.I was in the Holmesdale in a central position and had a good view as the ball squirmed through Sprake's hands.
