The thing is the pitch/field are on interchangeable trays from what I've read. That means the football pitch wouldn't be used for gridiron. Also, if they do get an NFL franchise it would restrict the Premier League from scheduling them at home on Sundays since the time it takes to change field/pitch trays is too long. As for Khan getting Wembley I hope you're right but the FA has never really turned down a big payday even when it's to their detriment.

Meanwhile, Garth Crooks must have a whole lot of egg on his face for that crack about Wilf being gettable by Spuds for £70 million.

No chance of that happening then. In a Europa league season Spurs play most Sundays.

It's not a big payday for the FA though, the offer is less than the build cost.

Garth Crooks always has egg on his face, and the rest of the breakfast in his fat belly.

Optimistic as ever

Yep so after 85 pages of rumour, mis-roumor, fake news, conspiracy theories, mole hills being made into mountains along with a whole heap of worrying this thread can be closed until January when it will all start again..!!

Now let's enjoy the start of the season with Wilf still in red and blue..!!

Then may I add with a much stronger and stable squad than we had this time last year..

I for one am very optimistic about this season, think we will surprise a few..!!

sadly I am sure he will consider his fabricated story a great success that racked up thousands of hits and debate throughout the football press

my hope is that he will have another four or six transfer windows to run exactly the same story before finally he is finally right and Wilf leaves

it will be the same in January

Provided a European club don't take an interest.

Well it’s great to have Wilf here still.
Never in doubt in my mind.... however, I am pretty shocked and parish’s interview on SSN just now. When asked about Wilf, he said “it’s great to still have him here he’s important to the club, but we understand he is world class and everyone wants to get to the top of their profession but wasn’t the right time”

Maybe there was some truth when they were reporting about him wanting to leave.....

Either way great to still have him, well done parish.

I think we will be extremely lucky to have him here this time next year.

Yeah agreed I found that very very telling too.

IMO expect this will be Wilfs best and most likely last season for us.
