Looks like Parish has acted without any of us noticing and whilst in Spain has got in Vacante[Note12], an up and coming foreign coach. This leaves me empty of any response

What has he done in management to deserve a premier league club? He's been a failure at every club he's managed playing absolutely dire football so I'd hate him to get any premier league job infront of someone who's done really well and deserves it. I agree it would be crazy to go back to Freedman, but I want to give him credit for what he did do at Palace before he so unwisely left. He saved us from relagation when he came in after the unlamented George Birley, brought Bolasie and Murray to the club, and left the club when we were in the top 6 and in a great winning streak. Arguably, it was Freedman who did more than anyone to get us into the PL. His career after Palace has been a disaster. At one stage he seemed to be a coach of great potential, but that's long gone

Dyche's 2 promotions have to be taken into context with the relegation and especially in view of the small size of the club and their finances. Big Sam always had praise for him. Swansea weren't relegated under Monk because they sacked him before he took them down. If you saw any of his final games, which i saw live on a stream because of bets, you'll see what I mean. It was awful. Hardly a pass into the final third. He'd completely lost the dressing room. It now sounds as though it might've been because a shareholder was a naughty boy with a Swansea wag and Monk chose to look after himself. If you're taking Dyche's relegation in context then are you doing the same with Silva?

Yes, and Wilf has just signed a new contract with Palace, but if Chelsea come calling with an offer of £60 million+ then he wont be here next year either. Although I take your point, I wasn't trying to suggest that any of these candidates were nailed on.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'David Wagner..' by Guntrisoft Huddersfield have won the play-off final on penalties so it's less likely Wagner will leave there for anywhere.

I think which ever manager loses today will be interviewed for the job. I think we will still go for Wagner, either one will cost money, and we are still a bigger club than them and could nick him.

Not sure what his contractual details are at Huddersfield. I think it would be funnier if we pinched Hughton like that but whether he's a better coach I couldn't say.
