Comparing seatbelts to discrimination against people who want control over what is injected into their bodies is laughable - as is your dismissal of encroaching state control over more and more aspects of our lives. As I didn't, it's your comment which is laughable. I said YOU were the type who would conflate the two and complain about them. "State control" is just a buzz term being parroted by the right, probably after being picked up in dodgy social media groups, with its origins in some dark corner of a propaganda farm in Moscow. We've had laws since people started living in communities. It's not new, it's not invasive, and it's in our own hands.

They are. However, unlike the government's assault on businesses, employment and personal movement the seatbelt law gives no inherent power to the state over the individual outside of the car. For you to talk about others scare mongering is a joke. You must spend half your time on this platform doing little else. If it wasn't so fake I'd think you scared to dress yourself for fear of straining a muscle. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Dec 2021 12.36pm) There is no assault by government on anything. That's just daft conspiracy theory which you are joining in on like the good little, well-trained, convert to the "alternative facts being real" mob of obedient lackeys that Moscow has nurtured. There is government, who pass laws. Don't like them, change them! You think warning about the dangers of what is being done by the Russians is actually the "scare mongering"? It's certainly scary, but it needs to be treated seriously. As I have said before, I give thanks you aren't responsible for our security services. I spend time on here when I take a break from my other activities, or when watching TV. So it varies, but is never that long.

No it isn't. There are less people in hospital now than there were in October. I make no claim of certainty but I've been hearing down the grapevine that this is due to crises NHS staffing levels due to their own poor handling of this....it unsurprisingly turns out that when you push to make everyone sh1t scared that your public workers don't want to deal with Joe Public so much. Apparently this has nothing to do with waiting and seeing over variants and was pre-planned. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Dec 2021 1.55pm) What on earth are you talking about now? What does it matter whether there are fewer people in hospital now, than in October? A successful vaccination programme is responsible for that. What is being done now is to try to mitigate the potential impact of the new variant, which may, or may not, be shown to be necessary, but if it is then "waiting and seeing" would have been a disaster. If it isn't, then the brakes will come off again very fast. As my wife works for the NHS, currently in A & E, I think I might be better informed on their situation than yourself and the fairy whispers coming down a grapevine. They are under-staffed, but that's not new. They are recruiting Do you wonder why I am intolerant of those who are determined to make these heroes lives more difficult by refusing to do what is asked of them? Just because they THINK they know better.

As daft as the conspiracy theorys for years by people saying you will need a QR code or a chip to go into a shop get on public transport or go about your day? Or the people last January saying that in a few months time you will need vaccine passports? What's the difference between a conspiracy theorist and the truth?

I must admit I thought 'computing forever' (if you know you know) was over egging the pudding but with respect to him he's pretty much predicted it all from way back.

Just because they THINK they know better. I can't help it if you can't understand the post. As for your foreign wife working in our NHS, well I appreciate her efforts. However, we should never had relied on 'international staff' in the first place and that's a consequences of 'on the cheap' politicised internationalist thinking by our political and institutional leaders.....All of these people could have been working within their own country's healthcare....which probably needs them even more than this one, while we could have invested in training our own native staff....this is a decades old issue. I will say this....She will be under strain working within the public sector due to a myriad of reasons and I have some genuine sympathy for that. However, lots of people work hard....lots of people do less than safe jobs....at least she has a job....people like you have supported the policies that have thrown many hard working and dedicated into unemployment who have to struggle to feed their families.....they don't have the benefit of an...let's be nice...individual...who is a landlord bringing in passive income. As for whether someone is obnoxious or not....let's just say...on this point I think she must be a saint.

Is that how you learn about stuff Dan? Bless yea. It's funny when it's the guy who turns out to be right gets called a 'conspiracy theorist' by the establishment mouthpiece....when the establishment were denying all this from years back. I wouldn't say I quite agree with Cullen on all his ideas but he's certainly been correct about lots of things from quite a time ago. As someone who has watched Cullen I wouldn't say he holds 'ultra-nationalist views'....what the feck does that actually mean?....no doubt that's written by a leftist activist. But sure, he's a reactionary....but so what, so was Corbyn and you voted for him. Maybe you should actually watch Cullen before you comment. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Dec 2021 6.36pm)

Do you understand the difference between a conspiracy theory and a prediction? Because these were predictions, not conspiracy theories. Maybe these will help. The first to understand, the second to understand why people believe conspiracy theories and how dangerous they are:-
