That's ridiculous 150,000 EU workers here do not have new houses built for them, predominantly they rent rooms and share, they are not permanent anyway. Increased demand for rental properties means increased rent – for everyone. Google 'supply and demand'.

You could of course take the opportunity right now to leave the golden streets of Croydon and launch yourself into the EU and live and work there. You won't though. Edited by Stirlingsays (24 Oct 2018 4.29pm)

There has been government failure on housing AND one of the key factors is a supply-demand issue. The demand is partly due to immigration. Net migration from the EU is circa 150,000 a year, while 300,000 homes are needed to be built to sustain demand, yet the actual build is 170,000 homes per year. Do the math! Lack of supply = higher demand = higher prices. It's basic economics. I find it easier if you answer my points directly instead of someone elses! I would, except you’re making points that I don’t particularly disagree with, such is your rush to defend someone you see as on your side. I do find it funny that if I were to suggest that immigration concerns were the main reason people voted for Brexit, I have no doubt I would be told that’s ridiculous and unfounded. But if you challenge someone’s given reason because it doesn’t make sense, the justification given is.. immigration concerns.

Edited by Stirlingsays (24 Oct 2018 4.29pm) I already have. Unlike you I have lived and worked in Europe both here and West Germany. So my knowledge of Europe comes with actual experience of it.

Polls have shown the main reason for people wanting the UK to leave the EU was sovereignty. Immigration came second. Immigration would have been the no.1 choice for many people, depending on circumstances. Nothing wrong with that. The context of this immigration 'back and forth' is because someone mentioned the housing crisis, which is linked to immigration (amongst other things).

How deluded is that? All the corruption and waste that the EU has been proven to enact. All the cooked books and we get....'it's for the greater good'. The UK politicians are advantaging one side of society (even though everyone gets to vote) yet the EU.....well, 'it's for the greater good'. Man alive. You talk like straight out of a tabloid Are you the forum mouthpiece for the daily mail?

I point out the obvious issue with your comment and as usual, you have no actual answer, so we get this.
