As is the case now, that doesn’t address my question - the post was about government failures (mainly re housing); I want to know how voting for Brexit will improve these government failures.

It won't improve those failures. What voting for Brexit will do is ensure that there is always a British government making those decisions.

Rather than an EU one with ever encroaching power, where you can't vote them out.

Democracy spoke.

So, in summary, you would agree that to say “I voted out for government failures” doesn’t make any sense, as they will not improve.

That's your characterisation.

I voted out for immigration.

However, I can also see the argument for voting out to stop the encroachment of EU power over individual Europe elected parliaments.....A situation where an individual would have zero say on any individual policy, including housing.

I've little doubt that a few on the left would have voted out for this reason.....it use to be quite a common left wing position....indeed a variant of Corbyn's for most of his political career.

Yesterday the unelected EU commission told the elected Italian government that their budget was unacceptable and they should go away and redo it or face sanctions.

That's why I voted leave, why bother with elections lets save money and let the civil servants run the country.

There's a lot of clueless remain supporters who don't really understand how the EU works. A fair number were fear mongered into remain by those governmental leaflets.....leaflets that have already been discredited.

I have no idea why you’ve gone into any of that.

A poster made a claim about government failures.. I challenged it and you actually agreed that it would not improve. The end.

That was, and remains, the only point I was making.

Well, actually you related the housing point to a Brexit vote.

Hence talking about why voting 'remain' is potentially worse in having a say on housing does have relevance.

In a nutshell, he is like many others, sadly not a small minority, who are happy to be worse off from Brexit as long as foreigners leave

Not totally inaccurate.

I agree crony capitalism is a problem. It's one of the many reasons why the EU is so bad.

The best solution is limited government and leaving the EU.

Former President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso is the non-executive chairman at Goldman Sachs.

Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder is chairman of Russia’s biggest oil producer Rosneft.

George Osborne works for asset manager BlackRock, one day a week for £650,000-a-year.

etc etc etc

So the answer to too much Capitalism is to have less regulation?

The only sensible way for us now is to revoke Article 50.

Brexit is a train going over a cliff.

I don't think I can recall a successful government project ever, any new project is by definition a complete disaster.

Our current crop of disasters have nothing to do with the EU.

D-Day was an example of meticulous planning and attention to detail, Westminster does not do any of that.

Fortunately democracy was not involved then so it was suuccessful, not that the British system has much democracy anyway.
