This isn't about taking sides. What Hamas did was barbaric and stupid. The way the Israeli's have behaved and responded is sub-human.
At this stage, points scoring is irrelevant.

There are innocents being blasted to bits or starved to death, and this can be stopped. So why isn't it ? 20,000 civilian deaths not enough ?

Is this a direct quote from Hitler?

No, I’m not, I’m saying there is nothing to support the specific allegations made, and using said allegations as the entire basis for your opinion is therefore stupid.

Let’s be clear here - I have condemned Hamas’ deplorable actions numerous times. The factual information we have about what they have done is enough to be disgusted by them without the need to invent and regurgitate rumour. The sole purpose of these ‘stories’ is to further dehumanise and justify a massacre.

You are all very comfortable with Israel kidnapping and murdering women and children at a far larger scale, and yet seek to accuse me of somehow failing to condemn terrorism - it’s almost laughable.

I'm certainly not comfortable. I'm just facing up to the reality of the situation.
As far as I'm aware, there has been some verification of Hamas atrocities by independents. Not that any of that changes the bigger picture.

Maybe you should contact the governments of neighbouring Arab countries and plead with them to let the Gazans in.

I personally see a great historical irony in all this, since we often see the Jews through the lens of the Holocaust and the Biblical tales of being thrown out of Egypt and chased down by the Pharaoh. Jesus was a Jew after all.
Now we see that the oppressed and mistreated become the oppressors when it suits their agenda.

What lesson should we learn from this as observers?

Innocent lives are being lost in their thousands. At the same time Israel is ensuring that the hatred and thirst for revenge will pass to another generation.

The USA in supporting them is damaging its already declining reputation.

Don't you just long for the return of the days when two armies would settle their differences and arrange to meet on a deserted field somewhere and fight it out until one side was no more or had surrendered? The winner took the spoils and the innocents in the villages then either had the same oppressor or a new one...

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

There is little discrepancy between the Hamas estimates and that of the UN - there is also a long history of Hamas’ accurately reporting death tolls - there was a whole fact checking investigation into it: [Link]

So not without question, no - you should try it.

Al Jazeera, another impeccable source! Also, the UN is anti-Israel and accepts whatever Hamas tells them.

‘Removing the problem’ = the murder of hundreds of thousands of innocents.

Glad you’re ok with that.

How many times do I have to say that I'm not happy with it?

Do you have a reading problem?

I’m not going to engage in a conversation on sources and fact checking with someone as comfortable lying as you are.

Don’t pretend you’re interested in objective truth in this.

So you expected Israel to just take it on the chin?

Their ambition is to expand into Gaza. Hamas gave them the perfect opportunity while not giving a damn about the safety of their own people.

Knowing the situation as Hamas surely do, who is more guilty of causing the deaths of innocent civilians?

You can only guarantee that when Europeans are fighting Europeans.

And when Israel takes their advice and withdraws with Hamas still in control; who WILL do another October 7th attack, what should the world think then? They deserved it for being Jewish or “oh s*** why did we intervene!”.
This ‘faith’ will and is coming for us next. Not tomorrow, not next month, not next year, but it is coming ! October 7th was a test of our resolve as a western culture. The next one won’t be a test. They love death, we love life. Who’s the strongest ?

Where there are Palestinians some form of resistance and violence will exist. It's a blood feud....no happy endings.

Israel's government are well aware of this and if you take their words seriously the consequences are that they intend to remove them, settle and further expand Israel. The only way that stops is if a left wing government wins in elections....but even then it would be difficult for them to sell that.

None of this helps us...which should be our primary concern....The Arabs are well aware of what's going on and it's why you are seeing this yesterday.

No I expect them to defend themselves effectively given all the resources they have been provided with. Hamas doing what they were able to do was a massive security failure. Obviously they now need to recover the situation and try to recover the hostages but their tactics will make things worse in the longer term. They have destroyed any sympathy they had with the wider world and handed a propaganda victory to terrorists, who then milked it by handing back some women and children.

A great example of exactly how propaganda works.

Do your research and then comment. If you haven’t got the stomach for that research I can’t help you!

I don't think that they are too bothered by that.
