The factual information we have about what they have done is enough to be disgusted by them without the need to invent and regurgitate rumour. The sole purpose of these ‘stories’ is to further dehumanise and justify a massacre.

Don't you just long for the return of the days when two armies would settle their differences and arrange to meet on a deserted field somewhere and fight it out until one side was no more or had surrendered? The winner took the spoils and the innocents in the villages then either had the same oppressor or a new one...

Their ambition is to expand into Gaza. Hamas gave them the perfect opportunity while not giving a damn about the safety of their own people.

Knowing the situation as Hamas surely do, who is more guilty of causing the deaths of innocent civilians?

No I expect them to defend themselves effectively given all the resources they have been provided with. Hamas doing what they were able to do was a massive security failure. Obviously they now need to recover the situation and try to recover the hostages but their tactics will make things worse in the longer term. They have destroyed any sympathy they had with the wider world and handed a propaganda victory to terrorists, who then milked it by handing back some women and children.
