Great post Grumpy. The HF are in the pocket of Parish so aint got the balls to do a protest. Most of the Palace on here are Parish fan boys and are scared he will read their posts and ban them from Selhurst. I dont give a f**k and tell it how it is. The club gets well over £100 million every season from TV. Where does the money go? I bet SP trousers most of it for himself. Sarf . If you don't mind me asking . How old are you ?

What Parish said was that the new stand would put our revenue into the top 10. Which is interesting in itself. Because basically what we’ve all been asking for is for the club to constantly over achieve. The increased capacity will be +8764 per game, using average ticket prices, we will gain an extra circa £14M (hardly a fortune in today's football) from increased gate receipts over a league season providing of course will can fill the extra capacity which is only likely to be the case if we are in the EPL, therefore team investment is a must if we are to progress. Otherwise the new stadium will be a flop!

Steve P is the main guy that means we still actually have a club instead of a private housing estate built on SP. Some people have really short memories. Edited by becky (05 Aug 2023 2.45pm)

Sorry to be rude but that is the biggest crock I've seen on here. If it wasn't for SP we would not have a club. He was the main man that saved us. I have a letter somewhere from Simon Jordon that stated "Club and ground reunited" and asking for me to continue buying a season ticket. We all know how that went. That is until SP and the others saved us AND actually did buy the ground. Some people have really short memories.

Otherwise the new stadium will be a flop! You forgot to add commercial income from food and drink sales, rent from concessions, additional revenue from non football activities, possible sponsor for new stand and biggest of all, the executive experience. "Business travelers make up 12% of airline passengers, but they pay higher rates than other customers and are typically twice as lucrative, accounting for as much as 75% of profits." Football is not quite the same but still, you could add another £10m per season for the new executive experience. Add another 6m commercial income. £30m more per season brings our income per annum to £190m per season, combined with lower wages, increases our profit margin. Last season we made a profit of £14m, but spent a net £35m on players, so we made an overall loss. At £190m we would have made a profit of £44m. Our wage bill continues to reduce as we bring in younger players. Owners pouring money into a club is not sustainable long, being profitable is vital to future stability.

Our wage bill last season, just for players, was £101m, and that is the lowest is has been for a long time. We brought experienced players on high wages to stay in the league. Our total wage bill was £121m, I think. In the 2 covid hit seasons our income (even had to pay TV money back) was greatly reduced. Over 2 seasons we lost £100m. Sure, Textor invested £93m, as PV was arriving, but that does not even pay that debt, yet we spent around £73m on players, and a further £35 last year, net. Edited by becky (05 Aug 2023 2.47pm)
