I heard him too, he speaks very openly. He also said that they look to see who buys someone and then see if they might have someone that they don't need. Which is where we are too.

Apparently Welbeck is available for 5.5m. Roy will be pleading with SP to buy him.

Dyche was on Talksport earlier talking about Burnley in the transfer market. They are often the first one to show interest in a player, then first to leave the queue, as silly bids start coming in.. He said they often did their business late in the window, when prices and availability is more clear. The problem I see with that this year is that we will have played 4-5 games before the window closes and then any new players need time to “bed” in. For once I would have liked to have any business concluded earlier

Ryan Fraser could be the equivalent of two signings for us just by the way he plays. Benteke, throughout his career, scores his goals from crosses and since his first season (when we put in the 2nd most crosses in the league and Benteke got a good return) we don't cross the ball anymore. We've bought an Alfa Romeo for farm work.

Towards the end of the season he made a real hash of scoring with his head when well placed. In particular the home game (Cannot recall the opponents) when he headed wide from the edge of the six-yard box at the Holmesdale End. Usually I’m more than frustrated with our inability to go early, especially as Roy takes forever to bring players into the squad, and we lose ground early. This year I think it’s a good tactic, there are a lot of bloated squads that with the drop in income need to unload. As the window goes on financial reality will bite and a buying club like ours can make hay. Daniel Sturridge come on down! I understand the logic.. but have little faith in our abilities to complete deals. Prob with leaving late is that all other clubs come in at the same time and we never, ever come away with the player. Not expecting anything from the window. The beginning of the end is nigh

Even the most prolific of centre forwards don't score with every header. Thinking of Rush for Liverpool, how many chances did he miss. We give Benteke one chance and expect him to score it.

Afternoon All, I have been told that we are very close to our 2nd signing & 3rd is close also hopefully by next Friday we will have 3 New Signings: Ferguson - Confirmed As I say things are progressing we just need to be patient. I would expect 2 loans on top of any permanent signings made.

Can he run onto a ball played behind the defenders, not just one lobbed forward to him?
I am not a bot. No, seriously, I'm not. |
