The BBC reporter says: "In essence, the five hours from arrest to sentence at Leeds Crown Court was rushed. Robinson wasn't told what specific parts of his activity at the court had been potentially prejudicial to a jury - meaning nobody to this day knows exactly what he did wrong. "Further, he immediately removed the offending video from Facebook on the court's order and the judge should have then adjourned the matter to give him longer to prepare a defence." So essentially, his jail term was politically motivated. That is very worrying for a 'democracy' like the UK... Plus, he is NOT far right. Journalists have no idea of the definition.

Few journalists care about that.....they are the megaphones for their owners and their interests in the culture war.

Having followed "Robinson" in his various alter egos over several years I rather doubt that. He is doing immense harm to the UK, especially in the USA, where the idiots who support Trump believe the nonsense he posts. Wisbech Eagle, your accuracy on this issue is about as accurate as your posting skills.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

As for your comment here. What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. ....I'm being disingenuous there...as this is an opinion forum....Ok, in truth I believe Robinson is standing up for truth and justice in the absence of it. Trump is in part a response to progressive politics.....which is cancer. Edited by Stirlingsays (01 Aug 2018 2.55pm)

you are correct about Trump. Love him or hate him, he does have a personality and catches the ear of the audience in an auditorium at a major convention centre. and we have Corbyn, May and Sadiq Khan..... its all like a sick joke. They couldn't catch the ear of a barman in Thornton Heath. UK politicians fear Tommy Robinson because he has struck a chord regarding the institutional cover-up of rape gangs. He should stand as an independent candidate in any of Rotherham/Rochdale/Oxford/or Telford. He would win it with a landslide. If Therese May can be PM then i think Alan Pardew can work as a senior Software Developer at Google. Edited by PalazioVecchio (01 Aug 2018 7.01pm)

Great thinking Rotherham has Sarah Champion, Rochdale Tony Lloyd, Oxford Anneliese Dodds and Telford now has the only non Labour MP of the four, Lucy Allan. I am certain Stephen Yaxley-Lennon would go down tremendously as a - shall we say right leaning - Independent.
