I find it alarming that people can go from loving Eddie Howe because he might come to Palace to berating him because he has the nerve to join someone else instead.

See that thing away from your pc screen? That's reality, that is. Please go out and experience it so you can get a grip on it.

I thang yew.

Life is liking someone and being prepared to give them a chance... to hating someone and feeling like you have been stabbed in the back.

To go from thinking Howe would join the Palace to finding out he has turned us down for one of our most hated teams...... A BITCH!!!

Worrying.

Reason?

Its sounds a bit psychopathic, I'm not saying you are, but it does come across a bit crazy.

Daily Echo blog says they just spoke to Howe when leaving the training ground to attend a meeting with their chairman Eddie Mitchell. Unless he is in a helicopter on the way to Charlton, or the Charlton representatives are disguising themselves as Eddie Mitchell then he can't be meeting them right now. We are being told he met them yesterday and us on Friday! I am guessing he is informing Eddie Mitchell of his decision as we speak and will tell the press either later today or tomorrow. My guess is he stays at Bournemouth or comes to Palace....just can't see the Charlton story being true. I maybe about to be proved wrong.....

Hey lads, lets just calm down.

Nothing is confirmed, it is purely speculative.

The same sources that have suggested Howe turned us down in favour of Charlton, previously stated that he was a certainty at SE25 and closed their SkyBets on the vacancy.

And, if it does turn out to be true it would be a great opportunity for Dougie to be given the reins, and probably less pressure for him as he was not the first choice.

It's all good lads!!!

The Echo:

"Echo sources in South London claim Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall met with Charlton last night. It was a long meeting.
Our moles suggest they have not signed anything at the Valley."

MORE:

"We also understand Howe and Tindall have rejected an initial offer from Crystal Palace but that move is far from dead in the water despite reports linking Keith HIll with the job.

We understand Eddie Mitchell is set to offer the duo a new contract this afternoon and we expect a decision from EH and JT tonight."

EVEN MORE

Our sources in South London strongly suggest Howe and JT are still well in the running for the Crystal Palace jobs, although it is understood they have turned down a first offer for their services.

The Echo understands there could be some issues with a move to Burnley so that is looking less likely now and the Clarets have not made an official approach to the Dean Court board.

Probably having to find the offices in the Big Top is going to take time, especially after having to get past all those caravans

Echo seem to think we may go back in with a second offer. I am thinking it is more and more likely Howe has been playing us along all along, trying to get more money out of Eddie Mitchell.

Palace Radio: What exactly does David Wright bring to the side?

Alan Lee: Nothing.

Nothing is definate until he signs something. Surely going with the media hype is silly as you can see it's all rumours. One minute he's not going anywhere, then Palace, then Charlton, then nowhere, then Palace, now Charlton. I don't think anyone knows where he's going. Including himself. Let the man make a decision, then judge him after that. This is what I think...

- If he come here, then fantastic. We have one of the up and coming managers in England. Let him show us what he can do.
- If he stays at Bournemouth, then fair play to him. It's the club who gave him a shot and he rewarded them with promotion and possibly another one. He obviously has a very strong emotional tie to the club.
- If he goes to Charlton, it's his choice. Albeit a very strange one, only motivated by money. Palace are in a better league, with new ambious chairpeople and a great youth set-up. Charlton are below Bournemouth in League 1, could end up staying there while Bournemouth go up. The only other thing is if he beleives that he can take Charlton up, while he can't keep Palace up (or doesn't want the hassle). Therefore he is thinking although we are in a higher league now, come the end of the season we'll be swapping places. To me that would show that he wasn't the right person for the job anyway. I beleive Palace will stay up, with the right management, then next season we can push on up the table. Charlton could struggle next year, as do most promoted sides. So he could be in a relagation battle anyway.

Let's wait a see. If he does go to Charlton, then the rivalry will increase as it'll be the second manager they've nicked off us.
