Liz Truss a few months ago encouraging people from the UK to go and fight in Ukraine, now two have the death penalty, perhaps a little bit of caution foreign secretary wouldn"t go amiss?

Bungle announcing the great idea of people renting via housing association to get a mortgage and buy the flat, leaving less flats on the associations books, and forgetting to get the housing associations or mortgage lenders on board? Another soundbite, from the CONservatives, probably never to get off the ground.

'Benefits to bricks' or something? Apologies, but how are people who rely on the rest of us for money supposed to 'buy' houses and get mortgages? Anybody able to explain further? I'd be grateful!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

It probably is just more deflection on half his own party saying he is useless, there was a big mortgage lenders conference at West Hams ground today and nobody had heard about it- typical of this government, throw out the big idea without knowing how you are going to achieve it, and my moneys on it wont ever get off the ground!

My initial belief was that this was a very typically Etonian effort to win over the ‘poor folk’ which would never pan out as advertised. Read a little bit further, still none the wiser

If one person takes it up and gets past the mortgage man I will be shocked, nothing to do with getting away from the fact nearly half bungles own side think he"s crap!

If you get benefits whilst working over 16 hours a week maybe they aren’t classed as earnings and this may be what it’s about. It’s all bollox in the south though unless your buying a Wendy house

He is also on Universal Credit, this is automatically reduced depending on his earnings each month

Another soundbite, from the CONservatives, probably never to get off the ground. As they seem intent on concreting over vast areas of the country, there should be a high percentage of affordable housing being built. Thousands of houses being built around my area and, for the life of me, I do not know who can afford them. Nothing to help first-time buyers or lower income families
