This should be worth a few million votes for the Tories:

It's just in their DNA to be such iniquitous b'stards. They are so bad these Tories in their top hats, smoking their cigars. Surely the time has come to ban the party? In fact the only parties that should be available to vote for should be Labour (as long as the leadership is in the hands of communist-lites of course), the Liberals (although their current Christian, anti-gay leader should be sacked of course) and the dear old Greens (regardless of how many leaders they might have). Then after the few dozen general election votes are counted, we could have a glorious rainbow coalition that would usher in the egalitarian utopia.
We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell] |

[Link] Of course it's politically motivated. Starving schools of funds so they have to lower the quality of kids education is a political act.

The cuts to education mean I'm considering not voting Tory, not that it'll make a difference in a safe Tory seat. Education is vital to our future. Then there's the treatment of nurses, mismanagement in hiring in expensive agency staff and the agenda to privatise the NHS as those who get fed up with it take out private health insurance. Problem is I want Brexit for the long term benefit and I can't trust a progressive party coalition to follow it through or have the balls even if they wanted to. That leaves Ukip and the further away from the leave vote we are the dirtier I'll feel. What to do? At least with FPTP my vote is worthless I suppose so my conscience can be clear.

How predictable that your riposte would be faux outrage mixed with passive aggression. You rail against 'fake news' yet blindly believe this stuff without questioning it.

Sarcasm is not passive aggression. It is sarcasm. So, the letter from my daughter's primary to all parents telling them the school budget will be £40k lighter next year is fake. Thank fvck for that. I will pass on the news. Thank you, Matthew.
