Only 34,000.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Already posted that I love the design .. but really like the stylised “wings” / Thor’s helmet wings from Thor 3 .. also really like the vid that the club posted with the architect discussing some of the design points.

If anyone has seen anything in the proposal that includes non main stand expenditure and improvement please point it out Hopefully it is there and I missed it Thanks

It has been shown the larger the stadium the more attend. Palace would easily fill a 40,000 as those who don't bother to try to get tickets now I'll do so if they are more easily available. There are many football fans who will have a day out with friends a family if the chance is local. Well London is on the doorstep. Edited by adrian b (05 Dec 2017 4.39am)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave This project, if it proceeds, takes us to ~34k. We can test the water with that (i.e. can we fill the enlarged stadium) and get revenue up by 15m allegedly, (I say allegedly because I've not seen that figure given by the club myself, but then I've not watched all the vidoes). I find that estimate absolutely extraordinarily high, but hey-ho. If correct & successful & we don't have a post-Brexit economic crash that destroys the Premier League, that will take us up a notch as a club (and that stand will be huge within the context of Selhurst.) And at 15% of the capital cost, the extra revenues also seem to offer scope for a little return on investment for the Americans (and give them a better asset to sell). If we are filling our part of 34k routinely, then we can consider another expansion. I believe the club has said the White Horse would be done. If they can add a tier (another 2k, let's say) then we are up to 36k. They might even manage that without closing it for a season, I'm guessing/wondering if I read somewhere. The big, big test will be the AW. Can't see them managing that without eating massively into the gates for at least a season. But if they did rebuild it, we could get above 40k potentially -- testing local appetite for tickets throughout, and not suddenly having a far bigger capacity filled with disinterested tourists. My guess is that the footprint as is could take low 40s stadium capacity, and getting there in stages is boringly sensible.
