I'll probably not be posting a tip tomorrow but I would recommend you do NOT back Fergie's horse Rock Of Gibraltar this weekend. The odds are rubbish and it will probably lose anyway! Next week...

All a bit tricky again today, but I'm going to go for Silver Seeker (Leicester 3.30), with Highest (2.00) and Exclusion Zone (Carlisle 2.45). Main bets For the group winners I picked the best six (Fra, Spa, Bra, Por, Arg, Ita) and did a six-time bet and a lucky 63 as a saver. I also did some forecasts for the groups: Fra/Uru; Spa/Par; Bra/Tur; Por/Kor; Cam/Ger; Arg/Swe; Ita/Mex; Rus/Jap. Odds vary on these from 7/4 out to 9/1. Finalists bets are also handy, you can get 10/1 for Arg v Ita or Fra v Ita, and 12/1 for Fra v Spa or Arg v Spa. And finally I've had a few e/w bets on top scorer (a quarter the odds for 2nd-4th) for Trezeguet, Crespo and Vieri. Outsiders I have backed Cameroon to reach the semis at least, at 16/1 for 4th, 20/1 for 3rd or 2nd, and 40/1 to win outright. Ronaldinho Gaucho at 33/1 e/w for top scorer.

So we'll steer well clear of that. Today's other meeting is at Newton Abbot, including the champion jockey Tony McCoy. But I'm going against him for today's nap, which is Old Marsh (3.30), with Epsilo De La Ronce (3.00) and Golden Alpha (2.00).
