The Colonel is entitled to put his money where his mouth is. Or indeed, even his heart. My sources tell me that Gadaffi, even as a young lad growing up and kicking a tin-can around in the back streets of Tripoli, that his bedroom wall was plastered with posters of Bert Head, Johnny Byrne, etc, etc.

Ah! Now that isn't actually true. However, he does have a "I'd Rather Be Watching The Palace" sticker on his bullet-proof limo.

If you go to the guardian.co.uk then go to football the story is top or: [Link] Jordan has commented on it, Sounds to me like Jordan will do the right thing, maybe stopping a buy out from gadaffi but it sounds like he is willing to accept some kind of investment. Maybe a fairly good situation, maybe jordan will be allowed to run the club under the investment of gadaffi. You cant imagine a libyan dictator having much time to fully run a footy club!

People need to realise that with the kind of money Gdaffi would bring It could make palace one of the major forces in English or even european football. Whether you like him or not that has to be a good thing. We could get a bigger, better stadium and bring in class players!

You got it, SelhurstParkFlyer. Peoria is an otherwise nondescript town in Illinois, USA, that represents 'the average opinion' here in the USA. (Not usually, my opinion, by the way!). Anyway, despite Libya's ostensible WMD-relinquishment of recent months, the Colonel is still persona non grata in here in America. Col. Ghaddafi that is, not Col. Sanders--he's still in our corpulent good graces!

Of course Gadaffi equals a stronger squad and new, bigger stadium. We've all been awaiting our own CPFC dedicated Fairy God-mother / Genie In A Lamp, and here he is. And does he get any thanks and a warm "Fancy a cup o' Rosy Lee" welcome? No. Just a load of one-demensional vitriolic views recorded en masse on these very boards. I tell you, in the years to come, when the Colonel finally get's around to having his statue bronzed, posed in a similar vein to that of Billy Bremner at Elland Road, and erected outside the Glaziers Lounge, I will be one of the first to tie my red 'n' blue scarf snuggly round it's neck.

Well what can you say,our club has seen so many highs and lows over the past decade but surely none of us could've seen this coming. Our club has picked itself backup through sheer belief and only us fans can know how proud we feel to be fans of our Palace at this moment in time.I have never looked forward to a football season (as a supporter) so much in my life!I feel we have the genuine formula for what should be for us success. BUT I can only speak from my heart and it is telling me that this would be an absolute tragedy if it comes to pass. I would give nothing more than to see us competing for the Premiership or in Europe, but lets do it the right way and not disreguard the history of the game and all it stands for by chucking a muurderous mans blood money at it! I hope we can all still stand by our dreams in years to come with all the pride that we stand tall with today!
