There is no release clause, so anyone wishing to buy him, will be asked top money, as we dont need to sell him.

Well, Fabrizio Romano says there is and apparently everyone believes him and holds him up as some kind of transfer deity even though he gets plenty wrong!!

I'm not sure I believe that Eze has a release clause. When we got Olise we supposedly agreed to a relatively modest release clause and it would seem last summer we offered to give him a pay bump in order that he would agree to raise the release clause. It would surely be madness to offer our other star player a similar deal when he never had a release clause in his existing deal.

Eze is at his prime so you could understand him wanting a crack at a CL club, but equally he did sign a big deal last year, so he could hardly complain if Palace refused to sell.

In reality nobody on this forum knows whether Eze has a release clause in his contract or not as nobody has had sight of the contract.
Journalists have come up with conflicting verdicts which indicates that they haven't seen the contract either.

We have a general understanding how such clauses work from what has happened with Olise.
The buy out clause may vary depending upon whether the potential buying club is in the Champions League or otherwise, but essentially if the terms and payment terns are met , the player can move and the selling club relinquish rights over the player.
If reporting is correct at least Bayern , Chelsea and Newcastle met the terms and then Olise was free to choose.

I have no doubt that if Eze has a similar clause there will interested clubs and Palace again will relinquish it's rights over the player if the terms are met.

This is why I am so against release clauses unless they are set at prohibitive levels as happens on the continent.

If our players insist on the level being set at way below market level, in my view the club should not agree to it.

If our players insist that the level

Despite all the media nonsense, which is pure speculation, it would be bad move for Eze to goto Spurs. They are going nowhere, and if he were move move he could alot better (ie. Arsenal, City or a big European club like Olise).

Clickbait now suggesting that Spurs are discussing wages with Eze.

Be surprised if they can afford him after already spending £40m on Gray and not selling anyone of note.

If we sell 2 or 3 of our best players, I will not attend a game until this club is serious about progress on the field.

What is the point?

We were stuck with Olise's release clause but Guehi and Eze are under contract.

Under no circumstances and for no amount of money, baring insane sums, should they be sold.
We can make Europe this season if we replace Olise successfully.

The clickbait site(we are palace) are the worst for making stories up & they are part of a franchise that does every EPL club & they're based in Widnes. Ignore them.

I barely see Spurs as a step up and would not be happy with that. I also don't really see the point for Eze.

We were always going to lose one of Eze, Olise, or Guehi in this pre season. And if we lose Guehi I can understand that to a slight degree as he has 2 years left on his contract and we're led to believe he won't sign a new one. But I'd argue that the fee would surely have to be for an absolute minimum of £60m.

Selling all 3 though in this window will be absolutely terrible and what sort of message does that send out to Glasner, the other players, fans and potential players that we look to sign.

Out of the 2 left I'd say its more important to keep Eze than Guehi.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

European football in 13 of the last 14 seasons and haven't finished below 8th since 2007. Compete with City for best training ground in the country and arguably the best stadium.

I want him to stay but if he does go I think it's a fairly clear step up.

What would be a bigger step up where he consistently starts? I don't think he gets into the Arsenal or City team. Liverpool are in transition so who knows. Tottenham would argue they've got a claim to best of the rest.

So if Eze and Guehi ARE sold for insane sums, does that mean you would relent on your pledge to not attend? (Hoping 'ARE sold' doesn't earn me a red card).
